64 Usual Spoons with free Wi-Fi. Quite busy on a Saturday afternoon. 6 guest taps making it probably the best Spoons for beer choice (for me anyway). |
68 Visited this JDW on 12.8.22 to start our day being shown round quite a few city centre pubs. Met our friend acting as our local guide, and had a couple of beers from Rudgate brewery. Simply the Zest and Fruity Tutti. Both were fine. Pub itself was nothing outstanding. Usual sort of layout and fayre. |
58 Corner place in the inner part of Manchester, conveniently for breakfast before attending the Manchester Beer Festival in the nearby Manchester Central Convention Complex. Decent spoos, proud to be listed in the GBG 2020. Takes good care of their cask ales on two rows with five hand-pumps in each. Decent traditional breakfast for not more than £4. Polite service. (Visited with Finn, 23.01.2020). |
58 Was staying in the hotel above this location. Standard Spoons with similar choices to others. Great place to get a decent priced meal. |
66 This place is open late and is located beneath where I was staying so it was worth visiting for that alone. Good selection of local beers in keg form, with Brightside, Seven Brothers and Shindigger represented on my visit. |
64 Large typical Spoons. 10 casks. Ab. 40 on keg. Ok selection. A few surprises. |
64 Visited the 6th November with Friends - Modern JDW pub in central place of Manchester. Common beer range and friendly staff, good selection and really clean. |
68 Visited on 16th September 2016. Large, glass fronted corner Spoons just a few mins up the road from Oxford Road station.
Inside the decor is fairly smart, 2 levels with plenty of seats, place was pretty busy on our arrival but managed to get seated. A good mix of local cask beers plus a couple of keg local beers too plus the usual Spoons offerings.
Not a go to destination but definitely stick your head in our your way past for a cheap tick. |
72 Medium sized Spoons, decent enough selection of mainly local ales, worth stopping off for a couple of cask ticks if in the neighbourhood. |
54 Large place on a busy street, so parking is a challenger. Decor is generic, but this time the casino bit is in the middle. Servers are young and pleasant. Three mushrooms on the veggie breakfast. |
