This is a very cool beer bar in an old building near the border of Capitol Hill. It's got that old-school charm while still being with it. The beer list is nothing short of impressive with plenty of rarities from WA and beyond. Prices are right in line with the area, probably even on the lower end of normal. It's very spacious in here with extensive table seating, a good sized bar, and some "outdoor" seating in an alcove. This was one of my favorite spots to drink a beer on this last trip.

Fine bar, very focused on Pacific Northwest, which is conveniently located. Went here for a Friday happy hour so was a bit crowded but absolutely no complaints about it and couldn't beat the location.

Solid beer bar in Capitol Hill. Nice atmosphere in the place, good crowd, and there's always something good on tap. A destination stop if you're near Capitol Hill, I'd say.

I stopped in here after a long day of meandering through the city. The atmosphere of the funeral home turned bar is fun and there are plenty of seating options. They have patio that I did not venture out to, also. Service was quick and friendly. They had a wide range of beers on with many local options and some stuff from further out that I hadn't seen before. I snagged a couple fresh hop brews and a pint of Burial Beer lager. A nice place for a brew.

Visited on a Friday evening. Not very crowded at all. Good but not great selection qith amny things i have seen elsewhere, and it seems they generally sell 12 oz poirs, rather than shakers or pints. $6 for most beers, but some great bottles in the cooler with unknown prices, which i found to be the highlight of the selection. I really liked the ambiance in the old mortuary. No tasters offered and as it is a bar, i wouldn’t expect them.

I lived in Seattle for 2 years, I visited here over 5 but less than 10 times. The positives: good selection and turnover. Really that’s important. Its an an old church or morgue or something (never could figure it out). The negatives: I hated looking for parking here, douchy/overly hipster, prices weren’t great, twice a beer kicked after I hauled myself there for just that one beer. There are better atmosphere bars in Seattle, imo but the beer selection was always done right.

Visited after dinner on a Tuesday. Located just down the hill from McMenamins Six Arms and housed in a former mortuary. The approach to the building is impressive, it is a large gothic structure, 20 steps up from the sidewalk. Really feels like an event to walk in. The interior is straight forward bar, with seating in tables on the right, longish bar on the left, and an area to stand at tables in between. Loft area up above the entrance. Saw a sign for a patio, but didn’t check it out. The selection is 32 draft, with a bunch of high quality and well chosen locals and NW beers (including de Garde). Service and crowd were friendly and fun.

76 = ★★★ (Worth the visit, must for locals, and visitors with time)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.

Nice place. Outdoor seating with was fortunate because inside they played extremely loud music. Around 20 beers on tap but a rather one sided selection. No brown ales, abbeys or stouts. Mostly IPA’s and pale ales. Service was nice and prompt

Every time I come here, it’s during some sort of event and it is so packed, and the line is out the door. I came here last night to a much more mellow setting and got to really take the place in. Always enjoy it here for sure. Always a great taplist, featuring a ton of locals, and they always have a sour on, which is awesome. Release a new one every Monday I believe. Cool building. A fun stop when in the area for sure. Might even call it a must stop if in the Seattle area.
