58 Finally visited the microbrewery. Its really very small, with 4-5 picnic tables and only bottles. No taps at all. 4-5 of their bottles available, with flight size glasses for all. The guys are great, beers are fine, but to visit once only. |
84 Small brewpub located in the middle of the brewery with a nice selection of beers. Had a pretty long chat with the head brewer, very nice guy. Beers are delicious, too. |
60 Odd place located under the bridge. Tasting room is small, but they’ve added a roped off area in the brewery itself with a pair of picnic tables. Three beers pouring for free, but you get a sample of about an ounce or two. Your next beer size available is an entire 750, either of one of those three, or a few others. So binary price points of 1oz = free, 750ml = $15. Beers are good, and a reason to come here would be to purchase bottles, not sit around a brewery and drink like many of us want to do at breweries.
Not sure if I’d include this on a brewery tour of the area, although on the upside if you’ve got a group, you can taste the three pours, buy a bottle or two, share with your group, then move on and you’re in and out very quickly. Solo, it’s less of a hangout space. |
78 Two picnic benches inside the brewery and a barrels for standing.
Really friendly staff although they’re busy (which is a good thing).
Three free samples poured out of bottles then a bunch of bottles that are offered to enjoy at the brewery. Decent selection of beers as these guys seem to have an endless imagination and refuse to keep a standard brew list.
Have to admit the bathroom is a mess but the over all decor in the warehouse is quite nice. |
74 This is a working brewery with a tiny desk set up in the entryway so you can taste the beers and purchase bottles. Really nice lady was pouring four bottle samples, and a friendly couple shared the bottle they had purchased for in house consumption. It works! |
80 Started our LIC beer/brewery crawl here. Tiny "tasting room"/"retail shop" located inside a garage-style production brewery. Small table as well where you can consume purchased bottles if so inclined. Only 3 beers available on my visit, all of which were solid. The lady working the tasting room was very friendly. We had a good chat about beer while consuming our samples. Bottles are slightly overpriced. Overall, this is a nice little stop, close to the 7, interesting to see, and fun, even if it isn’t really a destination/hang-out type of spot. |
72 One small room for bottle purchases. They had 3 bottles open for pouring samples and around 6 bottles total available for purchase. This isn’t a place to linger and is most definitely a brewery off-licence during their public opening hours. Everyone seemed pretty chilled hanging out here. Fun place to find and a good start to a day of brewery hopping around LIC. |
86 Tasting room sized as big as a small office , where you walk into a very friendly lady who will gladly have you drink a sip of each beer they currently have for sale . The beers were the best of the 3 breweries ( in my opinion ) and I was glad with the small sips , since I had a day of drinking behind me already . Lovely little place . |
80 As others have said...hard to believe there’s a farmhouse brewery under a bridge in LIC. Yes it’s small...and yes there is a limited selection...but the beers are very good. Since the place is small and the sample pours are small...there isn’t much to do here...so try the samples...buy a couple of bottles...and enjoy the beers at home with a nice meal...which they’ll compliment well. Transmitter is a great add on to an LIC/Greenpoint beer tour...but certainly not a destination place for someone living outside the area. |
