86 Nice brewery and restaurant in an old bank building. We ate outside on the deck with our dog. Service, food, and beer were all very good. They had 9 beers on tap and I tried them all (two flights of 4 and a taste of my wife's pint). Six of the nine beers were IPAs, but I had no problem with that - they were all very good. Great place! |
76 Great place with a comfortable ambience. Excellent service with good food-thought the menu is a bit small. Seven beers on tap. Sampled 4 and all were quite good. Definitely return. |
70 Came here on 27.3.2017. The little town Yardley was on my way from New York to Philadelphia. Tasted 2 IPA’s which were mediocre and 1 really good Stout (breakfast stout - nitro tapped). In total they had 7 beers on tap. Burger was also decent. Interior is quite unique and they were playing very good relaxing jazz music (seems they host occasionally live Jazz bands). Overall it was a worthwhile stop. |
80 Yardley is neat little upscale town near the Delaware River...southwest of Trenton. Although it is well known to eastern PA people...it may be lesser known to those from NJ...especially from north Jersey...although it only took me 1 1/2 hours to get here from the Morristown area. The town is filled with nicely cared for or renovated old buildings with a number of places to eat. The Vault is a former bank (going back 150-200 years). The present owners said they are the first to use the space for anything other than a bank. The interior décor is really very well done and attractive...the look and feel matched the gastropub menu and casual but still upscale feel of the place. The brewing system is small and the beer list included only 5 offerings (I’m told they usually have 6)...but they were good offerings if not extremely noteworthy. Taking nothing away from the beer...it seems the focus might be a bit more on the food. They have wood-fired pizza and a nice selection of salads and sandwiches as well as some great appetizers. The two of us went with 3 appetizers...which I highly recommend...the buffalo cauliflower, the pecan roasted brussel sprouts, and the pork belly fries. I’m not sure the hardcore craftbeer fan will like or get this place...and the fine diner may not appreciate the brewery. Although I recommend a visit here (and to beautiful Yardley)...I’m not sure everyone will be satisfied...there seems to be some competing themes here and you might come away wishing they catered more to your preference. I would like to come back when it is warm enough to eat out on the side deck. |
76 Place is cool. Brewery is an old converted bank. Had a flight of 5 beers and an additional sample of their cask beer. Waitress was friendly and gave me my cask sample for free. Food sounded delicious, but I only stayed for a flight. And the beers were all above average. I’d defenitly hit this place up again in the future. |
84 Cool looking place with great pizza and great beer. Only knock would be 6 beers on tap, but all above average. Will definitely be back ... |
92 Brewpub in an old bank. Super cool themed atmosphere. Food looked good but didn’t eat. Beers were all well above average to excellent - worth a stop while they still fly under the radar. |
84 really nice space. solid service. food was excellent, and beers were good as well. only six on tap, but all were aboverage. highly recommended. |
82 Great brewpub! The bar sits in front of a beautiful set of fermentors. The wood fired oven is made from an old brew kettle. More seating around the side, past the old bank vault. A little more quiet around there. Beer selection is decently separated in styles. Rotation of beers. Names are simple and help the patrons easily identify styles. All the beers I tasted in the sampler were excellent. Unique stainless growlers to go. Food was good, although the Smores dessert was really small. Service was great. |
80 Went for the tour, ended up staying for food. Richard was an excellent guide. The tour was brilliant, the food fantastic, the beers good. They are not big into the Imperial market, but what they do make, Like their 5 cs, and their Belgian wit, it’s damn good. The place is cool looking also, they converted an actual bank. |
