Whole Foods Market - Columbus Circle

Old rating from my 2016 visit - Great location at the South Western end of Central Park. They have excellent choice of 100 or more bottled beers, local & from across the US and international. They also have a small bar with craft beer taps.

Downstairs in Columbus mall. I guess they used to have beer section, but now they just have a singles cooler and six-packs. Prices are good, but nothing out of the ordinary. Whole Foods grocery atmosphere. A dude pointed me to where the beer is now. I did not buy anything. Not worth going out of your way for.

Really strong draft list with tons of local cans. Not a bad place to grab some nyc ticks.

Small bar and restaurant within the WH market with 10 beers on tap and over 100 bottles/cans, very nice Japanese food served at the bar. Good choices, nice place to visit

Nice supermarket in upscale section of NYC. Singles selection pretty limited and poor to be honest. But there is a nice Japanese type beer bar with 8 nice craft beers on tap and lots more bottles and cans available. Well done WF.

Visited 31-OCT-2016 with the Family following a walk of nearby Central Park :-) Small selection compared to Tribeca but still some gems. You can by Grimm here:-) Bought a few bottles - one of them the fantastic Stillwater, Whole-ilicious. Stop by if you are near the Park. Otherwise find one of the other Whole Foods in Manhatten.

So stopped in to get new Grimm beer didn’t know they had this whole tap room. The whole store was packed and bottle select Had a few nice items but nothing crazy. Draft had 3 Grimm, j Wakefield, and a couple others. Only time for one but plenty I wanted. Prices standard high. Pretty cool.

Visited midday on a Thursday. Located on the lower level of the TIme Warner building shopping dining industrial complex. The basement location makes the entire store pretty dark, though the food selection is typical high quality Whole Foods. Nice pub in the back that looked like a great place to grab a pint if the rest of your group is shopping upstairs. The beer selection is about average (in the pub area) for New York Whole Foods, well under average for the beer selection in the store proper. As mentioned, there is an upcharge ($2) for taking bottles to go from the pub.

10 taps and 100+ bottles in the beer bar, not a very good selection at all in the store. Bar bottles can be taken out, but cost $2 extra that way. Crowded, crappy place overall. The bar is ok.
