64 Went here back in 2010 after stopping at Best Buy. While it's not the beer scene everyone thinks a place should be, this place gets an eclectic selection of world beers and staples around the USA. |
68 Well you won’t find a beer expert here. But some interesting beers at pretty good prices. |
60 Been here dozens of times - finally added to the database - so might as well add. As others have said, an eclectic collection of assorted beers form around the world. Never now what you are going to find. Last Christmas they had Noël des Géants - a Belgian Christmas beer for $10.99 - I scrolled past and waited for the after Christmas price of $5.49 a few weeks later! They also have very wide selection of sake - some too steep for my budget - probably have at least 20 different ones. Some of the beers of the world variety paks will have some odd surprises - but oftentimes they are a bit dated. Worth a stop every other month or so just see if there is anything new. |
52 This really isn’t a beer store at all. It’s a housewares store that bleeds over into having non-perishables for the kitchen. On the plus side, this means that they end up having a variety of (non-refrigerated) beers. You can also pick up some good bar ware. The beers are some of your usual craft brew names - Unibroue, Victory, Abita, etc., - but they will end up having some really screwball things that I have never seen elsewhere. Rifle through the Beers of the World mixpacks. The staff knows nothing about beer, but they’re friendly. Clean store, easy parking, but the traffic in that strip mall can be hectic. |
66 Minimal singles selection, though any 6-pack you see they are usually willing to break if you ask nicely. The service is great, very friendly, but I have only ever run into one staff member who knew what craft beer was. Some more recognizable Belgiums and the most obvious southern distribution craft beer sections. Worth a stop by. |
76 I thought it was about time to add this place as I went there today... I think it could help locals find some new beers. Well-lit, homey place. Not beer knowledgeable workers, but they’re definitely friendly. Today a lady informed me that if I wanted to break a six-pack to let her know and she’d put it on the six-pack rack. Very nice! A somewhat below-average selection for Tallahassee, but for some reason they keep getting random things that I don’t find elsewhere. Average prices. Overall, it’s a place I always stop when I get to that side of town. Today I was able to get 3 ticks there! |
