Kirishima Beer Pale Ale
On tap at the Keyaki Beer Festival in Japan. Hazy copper body with an off-white head that leaves numerous spots of lacing. Near medium body with medium+ carbonation and a nice, semi-dry finish. A little mild for style with low bitterness. Lingering spicy hop and mild grapefruit aftertaste.

Kirishima Stout
On tap at the Keyaki Beer Festival in Japan. Hazy copper body with an off-white head that leaves numerous spots of lacing. Aroma: typical UK style stout. Smooth, medium-full body. Flavor: simple but OK: dark malts with mild bitterness. Traces of sour and smoke.

Kirishima Heights Bohemian Blonde
Kirishima Heights Bohemian Blonde Screwtop aluminium bottle from Le Collier as Classic. The place was dead at 11AM on a weekday. Drunk on the Shinkansen home. Deep matte orange with a bready ara complemented by mild noble hops that is ruined with diacetyl butteriness. Not as bad as the Takadanobaba Pale Ale though disappointing. The taste is sweet, malty biscuit with a mild bitter green hop bite. It actually tastes ok though sweeter than I like and the body while light is overly gassy.  In pilsners, I think I heard some diacetyl can be acceptable but it is a big turn off for me. A matcha cookie’s bitterness cut through the sweetness and really improved the drinkability of this beer.

Kirishima Heights Kolsch
Tap at Yokohama Beer Fest. Estery malty nose, rich fruits, yeasty, sweet peaches. Creamy and sweet, fruity flavor. Far from a real kolsch, close to a Japanese one. Meh.

Kirishima Heights Bohemian Blonde
Excellent Pils. Really well put together. Very Czech Crisp, hoppy and so easy to drink. Just what i want in the style. Really surprised by the drink ability - I could put a away a few. Has a little over the top vegetal taste that distracts from an otherwise very good beer.

Tap at brewery. Aroma: a touch of butter, light malts. Grainy flavor, big carbonation, big hops. Very nice hoppy finish. Well-hopped but actually more in the North German style. Malt too light, too gassy.

Kirishima Heights Bohemian Garnet
Dark brown, almost black, with red tints. Tall tan head. Pretty and appetizing. Light chocolate and caramel aroma. Nutty, chocolate, caramel, cereal-rich flavor; rather complex malts. Nicely balanced, not too sweet, but not much hop presence either. Slightly roasted. A bit like dark chocolate ice cream. Rich body as well. Very good Prague style black beer.
