3.1 Hollywood Beach Red Tide Amber Ale First rate out of a 22oz bomber. These guys claimed that they were established since 2005 according to the label...I would guess as homebrewers... Pours with a clearish, light brown body and a small, off-white head. Aroma of chocolate, nuts, caramel and light fruit tones. A bit of cardboard too. I am getting more Fuggles than PNW hops. Taste is caramel, cereal, nuts, light tangy fruits and cardboard. Not bad but I like my ambers a bit hoppier. Seems like nearly a light brown ale. Medium carbonation, lightish body. Not horrible, I would like to try more from this local brewery that I have never seen before. Saturday, July 11, 2009 | |
