Svesse	3.5 Dundulis Juodaragio Spygliuotis (Draught at Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels, 20 Oct 2023) Reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty nose with chocolate, dark bread, raisins, herbs and prunes. Malty taste with notes of chocolate, dark bread, coffee, herbs and juniper berries. Mild spicy bitterness. Aroma had fruitiness, spiciness, floralness and sweetness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, spiciness, birch leaves, grass, malts and bitterness. FatPhil	3.1 Dundulis Juodaragio Alus 500ml bottle (Vingiu non-existent webshop, Kaunas - thanks Tomas!) (6:4:6:3:12=3.1) Lovely deep reddish brown, small tan head. Grungy sweet and sourish malty aroma, caramel sweetness, but a strange moldiness too. Lightish palate, I was expecting the caramel in the taste, but it's not really there, the sweetness must have been from something like sweet gale. Just a gentle earthy bitterness. I miss the hops, to he honest, but this is an interesting insight to how gruits can be - in particular as this is nice and dark, other brewers seem to favour lighter, even wheatier ones. FatPhil	3 Dundulis Liberum Veto 500ml bottle (Vingiu non-existent webshop, Kaunas - thanks Tomas!) (6:3:6:2:13=3.0) Pale yellow, misty, huge frothy head. Sausagey tarry wood smoke aroma, but a sharpish and light wheaty component behind that, pretty much a classic grodziskie. Light palate, fizzy carbonation. Somewhat bland wheaty taste, tarry wood smoke too, obviously. Fills out a bit in the finish, the wheat and smoke both come out more. I think that's because it's too fizzy in the mouth, and the carbonic acid dominates. Swirly, swirly, swirly, and we're all good. Nice grodziskie, very faithful to how I understand the style, and super refreshing on sauna night. A bonus point for both keeping the style alive and making such a tasty beer at 3.3%. FatPhil	3.5 Dundulis Argentum Tap (Koht, Tallinn) (7:4:7:3:14=3.5) What a beer to slot in as review #24999 - a beer brewed specially for our 25th anniversary! Soft saisony aroma, gentle malts, gently sweet, and a hint of birch sap. Very mellow mild taste, sweetish and almost floral, pale malts and just a bit of birch sap. Very nice, a great summer drink. Thanks Simonas, Simonas, the rest of Dundulis, and of course Anna for organising this behind my back. Rerate: 375ml bottle - thanks Simonas & Simonas! (7:3:6:4:13=3.3) Sweet birchy aroma. Soft palate, fullish. Sweet wheaty taste, just a slight saison grunge, but definitely birchy too. Seems like it needs a bit more attenuation. Hmmm, now what beer should I have for #25000... ? JorisPPattyn	3 Dundulis Raitas Baitas I Draught. Described as B Gruit IPA /B /I Medium, stable off-white head over clear chestnut coloured beer, still. Ginger, ginger, ginger. And caramel. Sweetish, bit fade caramel, some herbs, definitely including ginger, as well as bog myrtle. Finish is harsh, resiny bitter. Light body, feeling better carbonated than it looks. Bit aggressive MF. Lovely tart fruity aroma, lots of wild yeast and wine barrel here. Fairly sweet rye bread, and wild yeasts in the taste; fruity, and buttery. Gently tart palate, no harshness to the acidity, it's moderated by the sweetness and the butteriness. Really complex brew, and beautifully balanced. Sunday, September 24, 2023

Misty yellow body, whtie head if I remember correctly. Sweetish, mainly herbal, bit citric aroma. Herbal, sweetish taste, light resin, citric notes, quite soft. (6:4:7:4:14=3.5) Hazy straw pour with a slight reddish tinge, huge tight persistent creamy off-white head. Gentle almost saisony aroma, malty, a little grungy, wheat aspects, a touch of saison-esque yeast. Lovely soft succulent palate, gentle carbonation - even the thick head is lovely and fluffy. Light wheaty saison taste, very little aronia influence at all if I'm honest - let's call it zero. Not jumping out with any particular must-pay-attention-to features, but it's a beautifully balanced saison-ish brew. Lovely gentle bitter finish builds slowly - resiny and even heading towards some of the fattier hop tastes - noice! Perfect on sauna night at this strength - extremely drinkable. Bready and herbal aroma, not identifiably hemp, which is probably a good thing. Bready and bitter taste, a bit peppery, but also buttery and herbal.
