2.5 Hofmolkerei Birkenhof Ustermer Schlossbräu Bottled, thanks Bov! Cloudy dark yellow, rich creamy head. Aroma of boiled milk. Sweetish and fruity with clean, solid body. Slight orangey, low on esters, a bit fatty. No bitterness. I’m certainly not a fan of boiled milk, so this is not really my cup of tea. Wednesday, December 16, 2009

3.3 Hofmolkerei Birkenhof Ustermer Schlossbräu Bottled 33cl. Courtesy of Bov. Very quaint bottle! Aroma of caramel, faint boiled milk, soy sauce and banana. Sweet malty taste with hints of caramel and soy sauce. Sour and spicy. Faintly salty- nice. Medium bodied. Homemade caramel, figs and cloves in the finish. Very tasty. The flavor is much better than the nose. Atypical. Thanks a lot Bov! Tuesday, October 13, 2009

3.5 Hofmolkerei Birkenhof Ustermer Schlossbräu from Landi, Uster - cloudy blond-orange colour with a poor head retention; fair aroma of cloves, grapefruit and banana; subtle carbonation and a medium malt backbone; juicy palate, sweet with a hint of late sourness, creamy fruity finish with residual sugars and hints of cloves - pretty good Wednesday, September 16, 2009
