minutemat	3.8 Berriew Medium Cider (Sparkling) 500ml bottle from Newtown Food Festival. Was particularly impressed by this cider makers sideburns when he sold me this. Truly a sight to behold. jfb	3.8 Berriew Maldwyn Medium Cider (draught) pours a hazy yellow colour with no head. aroma of heavy balsamic vinegar, green olives and cherries, brown sugar, acetone and a hint of green apples. flavour is mostly the same, with heavy notes of vinegar, some walnuts and a dry finish. medium-bodied with very soft carbonation. like an oud bruin with a dash of apple vinegar. Hazy medium matt grey yellow orange color with virtually none head. Aroma is moderate to heavy apple, tart - aceton ! moderate alcohol - rum. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate acidic with a long duration, chickin ass, dry, alcohol. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat, finish feel is moderate alcoholic. Aroma is sweet apples, tart apples along with some tannins as well as mildly rum/alcohollike notes. Flavour is tart apples with some mild spicyness and alcohol. Rather mouthdrying. MesandSim	4 Berriew Cider - Whisky Cask (Draught) A Mes rate. Cask at GBBF. Cleanish pale gold colour. A big fruity hit. Some cinnamon, a bit of nail polish and some beautiful fresh apples. So clean, just a hint of whisky but the oak comes through really well. Dry as hell initially but some big juicy apples rush in behind. A superb cider. Sunday, October 25, 2009
