3.3 Scropton Cider - Medium (Draught) Polycask @ 28th Pigs Ear Beer and Cider Festival 2011, at The Round Chapel in Hackney, London, England. Light unclear light medium yellow color with virtyally no head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy apple, apple skin, wood, barnyard notes. 3 Scropton Cider - Medium Dry (Draught) From polycask (gravity dispense) at Great British Beer Festival, day 4 on 5 August 2011. Pale yellow, with a greenish tinge, almost urine-like in appearance. Designated "5" on the GBBF sweetness scale, which means medium-dry, but it seemed drier than that to me. Quite tart and with fairly firm tannins, which reinforced that impression. Not sure where they get their apples from in Derbyshire but this had a distinctly "west country" feel to it. 3.5 Scropton Cider - Medium Dry (Draught) From a plastic barrel @ GBBF 2011, Great British Beer Festival, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England. Clear medium yellow colour with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy apple, sweet barnyard, rubber notes.
