Cask@Criterion, Leicester. Amber beer with a strong head. The aroma is herbal to a certain extent, and the flavour is bitter and fruity with some herbalness. Overall a nice golden beer.

On tap @ the Stockbridge Tap. Appearance - golden with a decent head. Nose - apple and citrus with prominent malt. Taste - more of the same. Palate - light to medium in body and texture with a fairly refreshing finish. Overall - solid but nothing special.

Cask @ The Jolly Crispin during the Ratebeer Black Country Bash. The pour’s amber with a small head. The nose is honey, lemon, a touch of grass. The taste is herbal hops, breakfast tea. A bit of cinnamon. Unpleasant papery finish. Light body, fine carbonation. Overall, underwhelming.

Pale stagnant golden body, whimper of a head non existent after a few sips. Nose is arse crack scrubbed with bread crumbs. Taste is fairly clean, weirdly sweet Thai edge in a middle of the road effort, crisp and brisk bitter finish. Struggled to finish it after the minging nose took over a few sips in.

Hand-pulled half-pint in the Jolly Crispin, on the RB Black Country Bus trip, 6th July 2013. Golden with a thin light coloured head. Weak nose of baked malts and fruit orchards. Tasted a bit bready with traces of sweetness drowned out by a final fling of hop fruitiness. Not the best beer of the day!

Cask ale, 4.1 % abv, draught at The White Star. Thanks to Kjell for sharing. Naked surface to a bright amber coloured body. Restrained smell of leafy hops and bread. Fine blended taste of resinous hops and mid-sweet malts. Rounded bitter ending. A bit watered in the mouth. Accepted (Liverpool, 08.04.2013).

[cask, Cloisters Bar, Edinburgh] Took a punt on this as it’s the first time I’ve seen a beer from my home town in my Edinburgh local. Slightly hazy amber, strange musty bran fibre aroma. Bready, wheaty bran flavour. Lots of cardboard. Not great. Shame [14042913]

Arkwrights F'tang-F'tang Ole Biscuit Barrel”.
Hand-pulled pint in The Crown Inn, Oakengates Shropshire on 22 Dec 2012. Light amber body with a white foaming head. Yeast and hoppy nose and taste: little more than an average home brew feel to the whole thing. The name sold me the beer, but one was more than enough.

On gravity at the Great Welsh Beer & Cider Festival 10/06/10. Amber coloured with a slight, off-white head. My notes for this one are nearly non-existent. It was a standard bitter, with a touch of fruity sweetness, cereal malts and moderately bitter finish. Ok.
