Galleon Dark
Caramel brown. No memorable head. Molasses and hay aroma. Initial flavors have nice notes of chocolate and nuttiness. A fully appreciable beer without being too heavy.

Galleon Rubia Lager
Hazy golden color. Looks like an unfiltered lager. The head is fizzy and struggles to hold a white film on the top of the glass. Malty grain aroma with a bit of sweetness and dankiness. The taste is pretty good and reminds me of a czech style pilsner. It has a strong malt backbone with a slightly creamy texture and a healthy dose of balancing, bittering hops.

Galleon Blanca
Creamy, cloudy, ripe banana color. Complex aroma of earth and wood. Creamy texture. Notes of banana, and mineral earthiness with a strong wheat malt backbone. Fizzy finish.

Galleon Dark
Draught at the brewpub. Near black, small beige head. Salty and mildly roasty. Medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Lightly salty with a touch of nuts and notes of coffee and chocolate. Fairly low bitterness. Chocolate grows more prominent as it warms. A solid, clean tasting effort. This exclusive hotel brewpub may be the best I have found anywhere in China.

Galleon Blanca
Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy deep golden, creamy head. Mild phenolic nose with mashed banana and lemon. Mid-sweet, spritzy and fruity. Fairly light bodied. Some slight butter detracts from an otherwise well made hefeweizen.

Galleon Rubia Lager
Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy golden, small head. Fruit ynose with some strawberry. Sweet and fruity, medium bodied with fairly soft mouthfeel. Quite low bitterness. Nicely drinkable. Should be a winner amongst people with little knowledge about beer.

Galleon Maibock
Draught at the brewpub. Hazy amber, small head. Grassy and fruity, medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Mildly buttery and roasty. A well crafted beer, though the inadequate pour results in excessive carbonation. Finishes with slight grassy bitteress.. It certainly has the pleasant malt softness that makes it nicely drinkable, and that most new world examples of the style completely fail at. One of the best Chinese brewed beers I’ve tasted!
