Littlehampton Anchors Aweigh
Cask conditioned at The Tap & Barrel, Littlehampton, W.Sussex. Amber with white head. This is a caramel led beer, sweet toffee, butterscotch to the fore. Maybe some late bitterness but little gets through the early issues. Not for me.

Littlehampton Mild
Cask conditioned at The Tap & Barrel, Littlehampton, W.Sussex. Brown with cream head. There is a tart chocolate note at the start of this, fruity with a boiled vegetable undertaste. Not really up to scratch.

Littlehampton LA Gold
Cask conditioned at The Tap & Barrel, Littlehampton, W.Sussex. Gold with no head. There is a thin, cereal, metallic character to this, quite sharp with a chemical edge. There is a dry, peachy note in the close. A little disappointing.

Littlehampton Riptide
Cask conditioned at The Tap & Barrel, Littlehampton, W.Sussex. Brown with no head. This proved to be a bit of a toffee bomb, heavy caramel notes, sweet but otherwise thinnish malts. Sweet throughout. Not for me.

Littlehampton Neptune
Cask conditioned at The Tap & Barrel, Littlehampton, W.Sussex. Dark brown with no head. This is quite a sweet, fruity, malty beer, a little like a flat mild as there was little condition to the beer. The sweetness pervades through the beer. Not quite right.

Cask at GBBF 2013. Dark brown colour, minimal head. Malt, chocolate and coffee aroma. Thin body. No carbonation. Least enjoyable of the beers tried at the GBBF, aroma fine but needed more body, too thin even allowing for its abv.

Cask conditioned handpump Fountain Head Brighton 21/05/12. A hazy yellow gold coloured beer with an off-white head and white lace bizarrely. Fruity but rubbery. There appears to be a lot of wheat in this. I don’t think this was in optimum condition and the rubber is certainly off putting. Not the best.
