There’s some notes of candy sweetness and some somewhat fruity tartness, and some slightly metallic bitterness towards the end. It’s drinkable but wouldn’t bother with a second one. mountdad	3.4 Rochdale Ginger & Lime Cider 500ml bottle. Pours a deep bronze gold with fast fading cider head. Aroma is mostly over ripe apples. Cider is light but flavoursome, with the lime upfront. You aren't getting a really sour lime here, more mid sweetness & the ginger is in the background with no heat & it would be easy to miss or confuse with another flavour. Reasonable flavoured cider, not too sweet, but I'd like to know what a ginger/lime infusion actually is. Thursday, December 9, 2021
mountdad	2.1 Great Uncle Kenny's Wakachangi 330ml bottle. Quite nice beer says the bottle. Pours a clear pale gold with a micro white head. Aroma is grainy standard lager. The beer is light & you can tell there is a bit of malt, a little hops and a lot of water. It's a very ordinary lager beer & quite nice might even be over selling it. Not much bitter, a bit sweet. Looks fine! The only reason to buy this is either to support Uncle Kenny (sic) or for the entertainment on the six pack. Once is enough for me. Thursday, May 20, 2021

Beer is light to medium bodied with a moderate dark roasted malt base & enough hops bitterness to give a suggestion of coffee. Hints of bitter chocolate if you look for it. Maybe the low ABV or low price limits to quality of the brew but this is fine but not up to better dark beers. Saturday, May 15, 2021
mountdad	3.7 Rochdale Traditional Cider 330ml bottle. Pours a deep gold with usual minimal head. Aroma is strong ripe apples. Light to medium bodied with a good strong apple taste, slightly over carbonated and maybe a hint of vanilla. Made using NZ eating apples I suspect so little of the tannic, woody notes you get from traditional cider apples. Better than a lot of the sweet NZ ciders around. Monday, May 3, 2021

mountdad	3.2 Rochdale Pear Cider Classic 330ml bottle. Pours a clear deep gold with a vague remnant of white head. Aroma is strong pear. It's light bodied but not as watery as some simple 4.5% apple ciders. Taste is sweet pear, fairly subtle, just like a pear. There is a hint of tannin maybe from the skins but none of the roughness you get often with a pear fruit. Nice as a change from apple cider. mountdad	3.2 Rochdale Mojito Cider 500ml bottle. Pours a dark amber with a fast wilting white head. The aroma is mostly mint. This is light bodied as per the 4% ABV and cider norm. The mint and sweet apple is dominant, with the lime a bit further back. Unfortunately this mens it is much closer to the many "flavoured ciders" than a mojito. A bit less sweetness & a dash more lime would really lift this beyond as the flavours are very good, real mint & lime. NOTE that as of Feb 2021 the Rochdale website doesn't seem to exist so neither may this cider. Saturday, February 13, 2021

Morboso	2.1 Great Uncle Kenny's Wakachangi Insipid flavourless lager of the type it is meant to be and for that nothing bad in itself except for the unpleasant but not uncommon aroma. Clean colour (straw piss) taste and finish. Acceptable, not unpleasant. Not good either. Might be being generous with rating. Strange label, read it with your bist attimpt at a Kiwi accent. digby	3.5 Rochdale Apple Cider Classic Nice smell of apples, spring. Light Golden Colour with carbonation that appears forced and not bottle. Nice refreshing taste of Granny Smith apples, perhaps a little too sweet; more alcohol and fermented to 5% might make this more appealing. As it is, it is a refreshing drink, any time of the year. Pairs well with prawns and crayfish, tartare sauce goes well with the cider as the tartness balances the slight sweetness. Sunday, July 19, 2020

Smells like someone is eating a toffee apple in the next room. Recognisable but distant. Mouth full of bubbles, slight apple taste. Finish is lingering and leaning towards sherbet but not too sweet.
