Small Paul's Granny Apple's Milk Stout
Cask at Weymouth Oktoberfest. Aroma is sweet and creamy. Mocha and caramel. Opaque cola brown. A few DNA strands of beige bubbles for a head. Light-medium bitter. Coffee and charcoal. Tangy berry finish. Medium bodied. Slick to oily. Average carbonation. Long somewhat dry finish. Nice if not overly exciting.

Small Paul's Challenger II
Cask at the Watford Beer Festival 2013. Poured a clear copper colour with a thin, scummy white head. Aroma of strawberries, malts with a slight plasticy note. Malty flavours dominate with with some grassy hop and a little metallic edge. Finish was pine needles and burnt toast, culminating in a rather astringent bitterness.

Cask gravity at the Watford beer fest 2013. Aroma is big fruity cranberry, berry, hedgerow, alcohol. Rich amber red colour with a fleeting off white head. Flavour is nice nutty dried fruit and caramel. Medium body and medium carb. Good condition.

Gravity dispense at the 23rd Battersea Beer Festival - 06/02/13. Lightly hazed golden with a thin white head. Nose is pale malts, summer fruits, light hops, aspartamic/sherbet notes. Taste comprises pale malt, light caramel, fruits, sugar. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Drinkable but file under ’W’ !

Cask-conditioned at the Dorset & Wiltshire beeriodical, the Seven Stars, Bristol 9/1/2013. Amber with a slight, off-white head. Aroma of cereal malts with a touch of hedgerow fruit. Easy drinking, with more solid malts, a hint of sweetness and decent bitter finish. Fine.

Clear medium amber orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, plastic. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration, plastic, sharp. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20111206]

Cask conditioned at Wantage Beer Fest ’11. Amber to copper with white head. There is a chunky maltiness initially, good and richly roasted with a pleasant baked bread note, this is followed by a leafy, drying, earthy hop note. Well balanced and quite enjoyable.

Cask, Melton Fest 10. Golden with a small off-white head. Aromas are peach and apricot with floral notes. Light caramel malts with spiced oranges and grapefruit. Flavours are toast malts with honeyed sweetness. Citrus with some woody notes and a hoppy, dry finish. Good.
