Pours dark gold edging towards light amber with a white head. Intially it's quite sweet and malty with a little honey edge, I guess that it does drop off to a little dryness at the end. Nice. Fin	3.5 ABK Buronator Doppelbock Bottle picked up from V-Markt, Mainburg and consumed at home Saturday 13th May 2023 listening to BC Camplight - The Last Rotation of Earth and just had Kebabs Fin cooked Sweet Pork Sate and Loz The Original Karin's Seekh Kebab but with Beef Mince rather than Lamb as we are cooking lamb tomorrow. Pours deep reddish brown with an off white head. A hit of burnt treacle actually more toffee, lovely soft mouthfeel, not sure of the exact abv but it goes down remarkably easily, btw the head didn't last long. Good. Saturday, May 13, 2023

Schlenkerla29	2.7 ABK Hell - Das Blaue Goldgelb steht es mit einer sahnig-weichen Schaumkrone durchaus appetitanregend im Glas. Der Duft überzeugt mit süßlichem Malz und einer floralen Hopfennote, bei der sich automatisch auch eine Assoziation an Zitrus ergibt. Der Antrunk fällt frisch und süßlich aus und hält zaghafte Noten von Akazienhonig, Vanillezucker und Zitrone bereit. Im weiteren Trinkverlauf wird die Süße weiter betont, während eine kontrastierende Würze leider gänzlich fehlt. So mangelt es dem unzweifelhaft schlanken Körper eindeutig an spannenden Momenten. Die feingliedrigen Geschmacksnoten können dennoch überzeugen und bilden tatsächlich ein mildes Helles ab. Die moderat gehaltene Kohlensäure ermöglicht einen recht hohen Trinkfluss. Insgesamt handelt es sich um ein schnörkelloses, harmonisch-mildes Helles, dem jedoch etwas mehr Mut zur Kreativität zu wünschen wäre. Saturday, April 1, 2023

Schlenkerla29	3.1 ABK Buronator Doppelbock Irgendwo zwischen dunklem Mahagoni und Kastanienbraun begegnet mir der Buronator. Die hellbräunliche, äußerst cremige Schaumkrone ist alles andere als stabil, aber das ist man ja von Bockbieren im Allgemeinen so gewohnt. Die Nase nimmt eine süße und kräftige Würze wahr, zudem etwas dunkles Karamell und dunkle Trockenfrüchte (Zwetschgen u.ä.). Auf geschmacklicher Ebene stellt sich der Buronator sortengerecht schön dunkelmalzig mit leicht überzogener zuckriger Karamellsüße dar. Ich vernehme zudem Einflüsse von Rumtopf und Zimt, wobei sich zu diesen Aromen dezente nussige und fruchtige Noten gesellen, welche optimal miteinander harmonieren. Im Abgang wird es zunehmend pfeffrig und schwer röstig, was für einen würdigen Schlusspunkt sorgt. Ein bisweilen nicht leicht zu trinkender Doppelbock, der spürbar übersüßt ins Rennen geht, aber noch rechtzeitig die Kurve kriegt. Sunday, February 5, 2023
