jjsint	3.4 Marlpool Wolf IPA Handpull cask at the Marlpool Brewey Alehouse, Marlpool. Mid-to dark brownish gold with a tiny ring of white head. Caramel, stone and tropical fruit, slightly medicinal aroma. Sweet taste with the stone fruit coming through, some Gritty malt, light suggestions of 1950s cough syrup. There's a nice lingering bitterness in the finish. All in all very drinkable. Friday, February 25, 2022

Amber coloured a little rich on the palate and fruity with a hint of bitterness in a slightly grainy full malt finish. 2. From the Bottle at Chris O's Pre-GBBF Shindig 04/08/2012 Hoppy aroma. Pours deep copper, this is my second very traditional beer, however it’s a very decent effort, fruity and even a little juicy but very English, the bitterness is even very pleasant. I like this. DruncanVeasey	3.9 Marlpool Otters Pocket Cask handpull, The Crown, Beeston, Notts. Attractive, bright bronze with a fine white collar. This has an immediately surprising rauch-like feel to it; smoked malt balanced with finely sieved milk chocolate and hazelnut. Not a hint of hop- why should there be? Really lovely chew of peat, smoked bits of wood and chocolate aftertaste. Aroma more sulphurous, but it doesn’t detract. Really impressive effort from a new brewery. Monday, February 14, 2011
