Schlenkerla29	3.9 Gänstaller Bräu 01 Zoigl Bernsteinfarben, hefetrüb und mit reichlich sahnigem Schaum versehen eröffnet der Gänstaller Zoigl im Glas eine regelrechte Charme-Offensive, der sich wohl niemand widersetzen kann. Die kleinen Hefe-U-Boote im Bier empfinde ich nicht als abstoßend, ganz im Gegenteil. In der Nase treffen satte Hefe, herbaler Hopfen, Brotkruste und milde Pfirsich-Süße aufeinander. Eine recht wilde Mischung, wie ich finde … Der Antrunk geht schön hefig weich über die Bühne. Er punktet mit mild grasigen Hopfennoten, darüber hinaus sind Quitte und saftige, überreife Birne auszumachen. Eine wohlig-keksige Malzsüße mit unverkennbarem Karamelleinschlag bestimmt den fülligen Mittelteil. Die Rezenz ist sehr niedrig, entsprechend sahnig-weich stellt sich der Trunk dar. Der hopfenherbe Abgang wie auch der schwach bitterere Nachtrunk sind für einen Zoigl eher unüblich, was ihm ein schönes Alleinstellungsmerkmal verleiht. Ein enorm süffiges und rundes Bier aus der Fränkischen Schweiz, welches neben seiner Vielschichtigkeit auch einen schönen Körper vorzuweisen hat. Hochgenuss von allererster Güte! midovark	4 Gänstaller Bräu 08 Onyx Can at home in Alkmaar, courtesy of someone from the German crew, but unfortunately I totally forgot who. Pours black as the night. Nose is roasty notes, lots of molasses, dark chocolate. Taste is sweet, slightly boozy but not overly so, it’s got lots of dark chocolate and molasses, also hints of dried fruits and nougat, light roasty notes. Closes with a dry, roasty-chocolatey finish, it’s got a full, silky body and soft carbonation. Straightforward and not too complex maybe, but I dig this a lot nevertheless. Wednesday, August 10, 2022

Clear aroma of smoke, with notes of malt and touches of yeast. Distinct smoky flavour with notes of roast and malt, and touches of hops and caramel. Smoky and estery aftertaste with malty hints. Hazy mid amber with a filmy white head. Nice carbonation, there is a little caramel, a little chewy, grainy, plenty going on here, however this is not a classic by Ganstaller but it's a good beer.
