Pismo Triple Barrel IPA
Hoppy and fruity. For the high abv and IBU there is very little bitterness. Good brew. Had this as part of a flight at Pismo Brewing in Pismo Beach.

Pismo Orange Creamsicle Pale
Aroma is a cross between the worst cough medicine you’ve ever had and artificially flavored orange soda. Minimal carbonation with no head and thin, watery mouth feel. The taste is overpowering artificial orange and rubbing alcohol. Needless to say, this needs work.

Pismo Pale Ale
From bottle. Tasted fresh. Faint aromas of fresh hops. Palate is better. MILD fresh hop flavors of citrus, resinous herbs and florals. Mild malt presence. Good mouthfeel and smooth, creamy carbonation. MILD flavors of hop buds linger for a moment on the the palate. Tastes like a mild home brew (in a positive way). Overall, a decent, light micro-brew, no harsh complaints... Simple, mild, light, balanced, and refreshing... --- tasted while on a long journey to understand the world around me...

Black in color with a khaki head. Roasted malt, ash, and char on the nose. Some dark chocolate, earthy hops, and a mild caramel sweetness. Rather bitter flavor with a lot of roast, char, ash, and dark chocolate. Some coffee, earthy hops, and a definitely a metallic note.

Amber in color with an off-white head. Nose is cola, sweet fruit, butter, and cardboard. Some bread, toffee, and mild chocolate sweetness. The flavor is sweet malt notes of toffee, toast, and bread, along with some cola and fruit. It’s quite buttery and there’s a fair amount of cardboard, perhaps a bit of grass and yeast.

A clear orange pour with a white head. Nose is okay with some orange peel, grapefruit, and floral hops. Sweet caramel and sugar aromas, a bit of grass, and mild herbal notes. The flavor is a bit chalky, like a lot of the Pismo beers. Moderate caramel sweetness, citrus hop notes of orange and grapefruit, floral notes, and a hint of pine.

Orange pour with a small white head. Not a very good pale ale. Grass, chalk, and a bit of pine. Some vegetal notes, a little bit of earth, and a bready malt sweetness. The flavor is somewhat bitter and astringent with a strong chalk character. Some pine, earth, grass, and cooked vegetable flavors. Mild malt sweetness, water, and perhaps a touch of caramel.

Has some hops in the aroma. Looks incredibly red for an IPA. The flavor is hoppy yet flat. The carbonation level is off. Yet, it’s still good. More like an Imperial Red though.

Pismo India Pale Ale Squared
Draught at the brewery. Hazy blonde color. The cleanest beer of the lineup, which figures considering the anti-microbial properties of all the hops that must have gone into this, even if they don’t make the best showing. Fruity yeast stuff going on in the aroma and almost no hops showing up. Lightly malty flavor with a lingering grassy bitterness and astringency. Medium-light body. Not a good IPA at all. Sorry, guys, but this needs a lot of work, as do the other beers.

Pismo Bootlegger Blonde Ale
Draught at the brewery. Lightly grainy aroma with a touch of green apple. Pale yellow color. Very thin and watery with a slight funk to it, but still maybe their cleanest beer. Definitely going for the BMC crowd and not making the best showing.
