BlackHaddock	3.5 Ginga Kogen Ko Mugi no Beer 300ml blue bottle (as The plateau of the Galaxy), drank on 21st January 2022 at my daughters in Laguna Hills. Poured into an old Licher Weizen glass that I gave my son-in-law years ago. Interesting beer really, hazed light orange body, full white crown. It has an orange, wheaty and herbal aroma, some cloves also trying to get involved. Taste also came across with the same things, oranges, wheat, cloves and other herbs blending in. JorisPPattyn	2.6 Ginga Kogen Ko Mugi no Beer I Rather aged sample /I Hazy orange-yellow beer, not very carbonated, head gone in an eyeblink. Wheat, bit of banana, bit of orange, some clove, but very mineral, seaweed, algae. More of the same, if more banana, more clove, more orange and less seaweed. Still mineral flavour. Very low carbonation, and lame presence overall - certainly if this must be a Hefe! - Bit wheatslick, very faint burnign feel. Accuses its age, but probably not very shining from the start. maekchu	3.3 Ginga Kogen Hefe-Weizen Can. Pleasant wheaty nose, light clove bit. Clear dark straw color; it is filtered. Flavor very similar to their main line. I think I'd have to try them side by side to really catch any difference. Smooth creamy on the tongue. Pleasant. hawthorne00	3.5 Ginga Kogen Ko Mugi no Beer Bottle - blue with reindeer on it. Cloudy gold with a white head that lasts OK. Wheaty aroma with cloves, lemon, a little banana. The texture is just right - bready but still light with medium high carbonation. Slightly tangy wheaty with a dry and spicy finish. A banana aroma lurks in the background. Cloudy gold. Frothy translucent white head soon shrunk away. Initial citrus sourness - quite tart. There's an underlying sweetness. Medium bodied. Slick verging on creamy. Low key fizzy carbonation. Dty finish with an edge of astringency. This as been sat forgotten at work so thought it may have faded but a refreshing Hefe which I could easily have downed on this hot summer day. Friday, June 28, 2019

Pours a thick cloudy dark gold with head that doesn’t lace as well as expected. Lovely banana wheat aroma, some apple, citrus and spice coming through. Easy flavour of banana, bubblegum, and creamy wheat with subtle citrus hops and a finish with spice. Seems more hefe than wit. Light-medium bodied and super smooth with tingly carbonation. Nose is more like a weizen nose, some wheat acidity and lots of banana yeast. Drinks lighter than weizen though, stil wheaty and creamy with some spices and a bit of banana - but more sessionable. Kind of like session weizen? Does not really feel like a kölsch at all, also relatively simple - but otherwise not a bad brew. Wednesday, June 27, 2018
