3.8 Black Cat Tip Top On cask at a rural beer festival in East Sussex. Quite an impressive beer, especially at only 3.2 ABV. It starts off strong, with a roasted malt taste that really strongly like toast. Hops come through after that, with an earthy quality that finished with a little bit of grapefruit. Excellent stuff. 3.5 Black Cat Hopsmack Cask conditioned at Kent bf 2012. clear gold i had it as Andrew said it was good. Cask beer is lovely stuff when done well. That lovely mouthfeel is sublime and unlike anything else in the beer world. This has pale malt and sufficient tangerine hop to keep your mouth interested. Decent beer. Good sharp tang on the finish.
