Tastes of apricots, nectarines, clementines, lemons, pineapple, passionfruit, and guava. Some herbs. Some candyshoppe. Gently sugary and fruity without being jammy. Easy drinking but not frivolous. Pinball	3.5 Burley Oak / Evil Twin NYC Midtown Dew J.R.E.A.M. Code Red can. 09/17/20 so pretty vintage, given the brewer actually took the time to wrote "keep refrigerated + drink fresh" on the can. tasted 2024-apr-05 hazy red with a pink to offwhite head. somewhat artificial ish aroma of sweet berries, sour berries, berry jam, marzipan, candied red berries. Flavor is crazy sweet with some sour notes. it is a fruity sweetnes, in addition also a deeper nearly nutty sweetness like cola nuts perhaps. think cola-wine-gums and you are in the flavor-neighborhood. Very unexpected, most soda pops are envy this is so sweet. Reminds me in a way of various kinds of cherry-cola that i've tasted over the years. Drinkable (slowly small amounts), very sweet, liquid cola-wine gums. Plus points for brewing something unexpected and fairly unique, even though the resemblance to beer is getting pretty thin out here. At this age, the can has no signs of aging that I can detect, it has kept very well, and was brewed very well, or it would have exploded on me, i'm sure. Great work in that respect. Mep3222	3.8 Burley Oak Westbound and Down Mix of stonefruit tropical hop aroma and flavor with a fair amount of dank and piney hop aroma and flavor. More tropical in the aroma and more dank and piney in the flavor. Quite piney in the finish. Flavorful ipa. Seems a bit bitter, but with all the NEIPAs these days the bitter is probably more pronounced, but definitely more west coast dank and piney (this the name) with some nice tropical notes. Flavor provides piney hops with some funk and bitterness, zesty grapefruit and tangerine, juicy mango and peach. Texture adds nice smooth body and peppy fizz. This could have you wanting a nap. Taste comprises lime zest, lactic twang, lime zest, candied sweets, vanilla essence. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light puckering burst.
