3.4 Old Pie Factory Pie In The Sky Handpull cask at the Spotted Cow, Holbrook. Amber/gold with a foamy off-white head and lots of lacing. Light aroma of grassy hop, some soft citrus. Bittersweet taste with the hop providing a pronounced bitterness toward the long finish. Very basic but delicious nonetheless. Thursday, August 29, 2019

4.1 Old Pie Factory I.Pie.A September 19, 2018 - at Exmouth Arms - on handpull cask. Slightly hazy deep gold with a beautiful dappled, lasting solid off-white head (4+). Another IPA which is more a dry extra bitter classic golden ale aroma - light fresh grain, hint of fruity sweetness, some alcohol. Taste follows right on - but has some heavy funky alpha acidity, this isn't trying to be a new world IPA at all - really builds up the massive coating bitterness, no residual sweetness at all - great! Chew, astringent and bitter as hell, long pithy/alpha coating finish (marigold!) and it stays there for ages - well done, who cares if it has mild carbonation - a LITERAL eye-opener; I will watch for their stuff in the future, one of the best of my trip. 3.3 Old Pie Factory Mince Pie Cask at Swan, Farnborough. Herb and floral aroma. No details on the pump clip but is going to have some random herbs dumped in. Medium toffee brown. Thin white head. Light bitter with a sweet streak. Medium bodied. Slick. Flat carbonation. Long low key finish. For an old school seasonal herbed up bitter this isn't too bad - almost reminds me of a English Strong Ale if basic but easy drinking. Thursday, December 20, 2018

3.7 Old Pie Factory Humble Pie Nov 2018 - Cask handpull at the Draft House Hammersmith as Old Pie Factory Humble Pie. Pours the darkest amber orange, pretty much translucent brown with a foamy ring of brown head. Aroma is custard on chocolate cake, bready, toasted teacake, quite nice and dessert-like. Body is light with soft carbonation. Taste is bready, teacake, toast with the slightest marmalade, chocolatey roast and slight apple. Very drinkable and enjoyable. I thought this was impressive for a bitter - full and complex chocolatey flavours. (7-4-7-4-15=3.7) Thursday, November 8, 2018
