Nose dominated by a somewhat artificial floral aroma, with some citrus and tropical fruit. Terribly sweet, more floral character with mango nectar and maybe a bit of guava. minutemat	3.3 Harbour Coolship Saison 75cl bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Oct 23. Brought by me. Pours unclear deep golden orange, white head. Expected the wild coolship elements to have blossomed but unfortunately it seems to have developed a strong aged caramelly side, rather than building on its wild side, coming across like an aged belgian blonde. Lightly sweet, not a lot to it, some pithy lemon, dried pale malts, hay, nips of grass. Light bodied with average carbonation. Reasonably clean to finish, more dried pale malts, subtle pale biscuits, hay, rind. OK. Monday, October 9, 2023

Very pale golden body, slightly misty, snow white crust on top. Lemonade like aroma and taste, sort of shandy flavour, didn't actually like this much. Not the Harbour's finest beer by some way! Flavour is composed of crisp grains, harsh bitter hop. Earthy grains, straw, little harsh. Palate is super crisp, light, grainy, highish carbonation. Harsh bitter bite in the finish. The aroma is soft, simple light grain, biscuit, cheap white bread, touch of lemon curd, like and custard creams. The taste is crispy, dry, snappy, decent hit of bitterness, pithy, zesty, waxy citrus peel, slightly soapy, toasty grain, straw, biscuit, grass and leafy vibes with a drying, bitter finish. Aroma is of citrus, tropical fruits, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, citrus and quite earthy and woody. Taste is of sweet malts, fruity, piney, earthy, slightly fruity, pineapple and mango notes.
