dorain	3.5 Schoppe Bräu Flaschbiershop Winteredition 2021 Aus der Flasche (bbe 15.05.2023) im 2024-03 getrunken. Dieses leicht überlagerte Stout zeigt das typische weiche Mundgefühl durch den Hafereinsatz. Das BarrelAging ist eher unterschwellig und zeigt sich nur durch seine sehr ausgewogenen Kaffee-Röstaromen. Ein schönes Bier! Sunday, March 17, 2024

Opening this bottle today, before the dinner with a usual black body, carbonated, white and brown foam. Light and rich imperial stout, really interesting for the style, malty, smooth and mineral, roasty. Moravius	3.4 Schoppe Hoppy Schoppy Pilsner "Hoppy Schoppy Pilsner", Fläschchen von Hit Ulrich in der Mohrenstraße. - Satt goldgelb, hefetrüb; üppiger Schaum. - In der Nase schlanke, knackig zitrusfruchtige Hopfenherbe mit exotischen Noten (Pampelmuse, Mango) und sattes helles Malz. - Im Antrunk aromatische zitrusfruchtige Hopfung (Pampelmuse, Limette) über sattem hellen Malz mit etwas Karamel und einer Spur Vanille. Gut rezent, hefeweich, leicht kreidig. Im Abgang solide aber rund grasig und zitronig hopfenherb. - Robustes, aromatisch und leicht exotisch aber doch rund gehopftes Pilsner mit etwas mehr Körper als üblich. Sauber. (10.10.2023.) Moravius	3.6 Schoppe Katerfrühstück "Schoppe Bräu Katerfrühstück", ein "Imperial Vanilla Stout" von nurmehr 10 %, Fläschchen aus dem Flaschbierschop im Prenzlberg. - Fast schwarz, milchkaffeebrauner aber kurzlebiger Schaum. - In der Nase fettes, üppiges Röstmalz mit wuchtiger Bitterschokolade (Mokkabohne), dezente kandierte Orangenschale, leichte holzig-erdige Hopfung (Perle) und leise weinige und säuerlich-roggenbrotige Züge. Vanille rieche ich kaum, vielleicht Rumrosinen. - Antrunk wuchtig und fett röstmalzig mit stark gesüßtem Mokka, sirupartiger aber noch stimmiger Malzsüße und gedämpfter obergäriger Frucht, abgerundet mit milder Hopfung. Wenig rezent, mastig; der Alkohol ist so gut kaschiert wie das bei 10 % noch möglich ist. Im Abgang schön malzbitter und nur wenig (fast blaß) hopfenherb. Die Vanille ist bestenfalls angedeutet. - Ein Starkbier in bester Schoppe-Manier: kantig, direkt und etwas unrund aber doch überzeugend. (23.9.2023.) Saturday, September 23, 2023

Very strong hoppy piney bitterness throughout, but only light orange citrus. Sweeter caramel comes through subtly too. A little alcohol burn in the finish but considering high ABV it's not intrusive. Schlenkerla29	3.8 Schoppe Katerfrühstück Tief schwarzbraun, undurchsichtig und mit dünner kaffeebrauner Schäumung bittet das mittlerweile „nur noch“ mit 10% Alkohol ausgestattete Katerfrühstück zum Test. Der Duft ist erfüllt von tiefem dunklen Malz, Bitterschokolade, Kaffee und Karamell. Es startet intensiv röstmalzig, fast angebrannt, mit Espresso, Kakao und einer erdigen Hopfenbittere. Dann bringt sich die verwendete Vanille geschmacklich mit ein, im Hintergrund lässt sich zudem eine schöne Karamellsüße erschmecken. Bei kaum vorhandener Rezenz ist dieses sehr vollmundige, ja geradezu wuchtige Imperial Stout, im Mund schön glatt und weich. Den nicht minder gefälligen Schlusspunkt setzen erdiger Hopfen, kräftige Röstaromen und eine recht deutliche alkoholische Beinote. Und so hatte ich hier ein wuchtiges Imperial Stout mit schwerem Röstmalz und passender Vanillenote im Glas, das nicht so trocken wie manche andere ausfällt.
