2.4 Fraser's Folly Pilsner 440ml bottle. Pours slightly hazy straw coloured. Thin white head, no lacing. Aromas of green apple, bread, grass. Tastes of sweet breads, and sadly some diacetyl (butterscotch). Sherbert mouthfeel, dry finish. The first time I had this, it was still called Soutie and I had it on tap in the town of origin. This is a very different beer, both for better and for worse, There's too much out of style with this beer, although it will likely find favour with many drinkers. Sunday, May 27, 2018

3.7 Fraser's Folly Dark Continent Moer Koffie Condensed Milk Stout Pours a deep brownish black from the bottle with bubbly tan head that leaves light lace. Aroma of nice medium roast cold brew coffee and a touch of lactose sweetness. Taste is more toward the coffee and moving away from the sweetness. Pretty solid coffee milk stout. 3.4 Fraser's Folly IPA Amber reddish colour. Pleasant toffee raisin aromas, nice dryness. Not very hoppy, more malty. Good, but more like a British/Belgian pale ale Saturday, December 16, 2017

2.5 Fraser's Folly Dark Continent Moer Koffie Condensed Milk Stout A murky brown beer with a two tone cream and tan head. Old cold coffee on the nose with a definite lactic sweetness underneath. There's also a bit of old pub carpet and ash. The mouth doesn't match the nose. There's a sweetness from the lactic sugars that does somewhat balance the sharp bitter coffee but it's a rather onestroke flavour profile. A bit of liquorice develops, along with a touch of plum, as the beer warms. It finishes on that four day old coffee and rusted kettle taste. Hmmm. Friday, December 15, 2017

3.2 Fraser's Folly IPA Beautiful copper amber beer with a fine lasting head. A wallop of gingersnaps, pine, toffee and mango on the nose. It's a very big aroma. In the mouth it's dry with an intense English bitter flavour - reminds me of ESB or Benghal Lancer. The nose doesn't match the flavour but its pretty tasty stuff. Finishes on marmalade and dry grass. Good beer but not characteristic of the style. Think more about England and Cheswick rather than West Coast America. Friday, December 15, 2017

2.1 Fraser's Folly Dark Continent Moer Koffie Condensed Milk Stout Pours black with brown red highlights, head disappears to a low medium bubble layer. Aroma: string coffe burnt aroma, toasty, ashy. Taste: burnt coffee, ash, overly sweet. Palate: medium mouthfeel, low to medium carbonation. Overall: out of balance, very sweet with what tastes like coffee that has been on the pot too long. The condense milk adds too much sweetness, and the coffee is burnt. Sunday, December 10, 2017

3.3 Fraser's Folly Dark Continent Moer Koffie Condensed Milk Stout Dark murky colour, medium tan head. Very forward coffee aroma, silky mouthfeel, probably the condense milk. Coffee grind with milky smoothness quite nice. Friday, October 27, 2017

2.5 Fraser's Folly Dark Continent Moer Koffie Condensed Milk Stout The Aroma promised much but I found the beer was difficult to finish - overly rich? Not for my palate! It was overly cloying and heading for the "too sweet" side for my taste. Friday, October 27, 2017

3.3 Fraser's Folly Dark Continent Moer Koffie Condensed Milk Stout 440ml Bottle: Pours jet black with thin tan coloured head that dies really quickly. Aromas of espresso coffee, toffee and milk chocolate with a slight hazelnut note. Medium sweetness, lightly bitter. Medium body, fizzy, slightly astringent. Overall the beer is not as sweet as i imagined with a lot of the astringency coming from the malts i imagine. Tuesday, October 10, 2017

3.6 Fraser's Folly Dark Continent Moer Koffie Condensed Milk Stout Aroma presents as a coffee tequila. Very nice! Coloring of black coffee. Pours well but head disappears too quickly. Would've preferred a Guinness type head. Overall a good stout. Thursday, September 28, 2017

3.4 Fraser's Folly Pale Ale Dark golden clear colour with white head. Aroma is not strong, but it has a mix of biscuity malt and a bit of hops. Flavour has a firm bitterness that lingers in the finish. It does feel like more than 3.7 ABV. Tuesday, July 18, 2017

3.5 Fraser's Folly Stout A: Dark brown with a small head N: Roasted barley, bitter chocolate, liquorice T: Mostly roasted malt, but also a creaminess to make it go down smoothly. P: Full O: Excellent stout. Rich flavours that just keep on going in your mouth. Monday, June 26, 2017

2.3 Fraser's Folly Pilsner A: Clear light amber with almost no head. N: Grain and freshly-cut grannysmith apples T: Malty with very slight bitterness. Some dankness and very faint citrus. Slightly sweet P: Full O: Probably not quite crisp enough for the style, although higher carbonation would also have helped. Monday, June 26, 2017

3.1 Fraser's Folly Pale Ale A: Amber with a medium head N: Citrus and tree bark T: Quite bitter, citrus again and a long piney finish P: Light O: Nice session beer, almost spilling over into IPA territory. Monday, June 26, 2017

3.4 Fraser's Folly IPA Aroma: Medium over-ripe peaches. earthy, woody. Light bready, caramel Appearance: Slightly hazy, amber body, Medium, tan head, different sized bubbles, low retention. Flavour: Medium bitterness, earthy, woody, over-ripe peaches. Light caramel. Dry finish with lingering earthy, woody, peaches. Mouthfeel: Medium body, Medium carbonation. 3.7 Fraser's Folly Dark Continent Moer Koffie Condensed Milk Stout And now for something completely different... looks like a fairly typical Stout. Black, small and airy tan head. Aroma is where things start to get interesting: Strong coffee and condensed milk. Flavour matches the aroma, it’s almost like iced coffee with a hint of beer. High sweetness, little bitterness. Highly unusual, but I like it. It’s never going to be a regular, but like a sneaky sip of condensed milk from the tin, it’s a treat. Sunday, April 16, 2017
