CanIHave4Beers	3.2 Bos Hammer Smashed Cherry 6.5% Bottle, shared by me... in the library... just now. Pours just a shade deeper than a rosé wine, still, with a mild haziness. The aroma is wax lips, lots of cherries, some floral stuff & a good bit of honey. The flavor is really only lightly sweet, it’s got some zesty floral notes and a whole lot of tart cherry, it keeps the waxy flavors well under control and the honey is mild. Fine enough. CanIHave4Beers	3.6 Bos Wildflower Oaked Mead Bottle, shared by me... in my living room... just yesterday. Pours a pale yellow color, perfectly still... fairly clear if you decant the bottle carefully, the last glass is pretty hazy though as there’s a lot of yeast and crud at the bottom of the bottle. The aroma is... actually pretty "mead like" in the sort of generic sense that it smells a bit of honey & wax and has a mild floral and earthy character. This isn’t to say it doesn’t smell good, but a whiff of this is about the baseline of what I expect a dry-ish mead to smell like. The floral notes are a little higher than usual and the alcohol is well controlled. The flavor is earthy and actually pretty low on oak. I’d put it at about a medium dry with a very light level of bitterness that I’d attribute mostly to flowers. The mead tastes almost more menthol forward than floral forward, it’s not a big deal because it does taste good, but it’s really unexpected. fun stuff Thursday, February 4, 2016

Nuffield	3.3 Bos Pomegranate Pyment A treat to see this on tap at a bar. Exciting first sip--white wine dominates but with a layer of complexity that is more fruity, suggesting a touch of cherry and a touch of mosquito repellant (a very light chemical note). Bacterial	3.4 Bos Pomegranate Pyment My third from Bos and easily the best so far. Pour from a clear bottle. Light golden color, some carbonation though the head goes away after just a few seconds. Nose is mostly grape, as is the taste. Its a subtle mead. Very wine-like, which is probably the crowd Bos is going for here... Tuesday, August 20, 2013

My wife forgot I ordered this and that she tried some and thought it was just okay, so she got it again at GTMW. Pours a clear white wine color with no head. Notes of honey, pomegranate, honeysuckle and other wildflowers, grape, and straw. Medium-bodied, with a vinous mouthfeel and no carbonation. Good mead that drinks like a white wine. Bacterial	2.1 Bos Wildflower Mead Pour from a bottle I picked up last year in Madison, shortly after they started distributing to stores in the area. This bottle was hazy with yeast (and maybe other stuff) and ended up sitting for several months in my fridge. It clarified nicely over this time, dark amber in color. Nose has some nice honey notes. The taste is dry, becoming tannic / bitter rather than floral. Could be the time it spent in my fridge? Tuesday, March 26, 2013
onceblind	2.2 Bos Wildflower Mead Still, crystal clear light golden. Nose is a little waxy with grass pollen and dry honey with something like tulips and concrete. Taste is watery and thin, and the flavor itself doesn’t really come around till the finish. There are some bone-dry honey and wax tones alongside some white flower notes, like lilly or something.
