2.6 Baseline Best Bitter Cask conditioned handpump Prince Albert Brighton 18/05/14. A dark brown coloured beer with a bright white head and lace. Think this was on its way out. Some sweet and fruity edges to this. A bit of late bitterness. Quite thin. Disappointing. Sunday, May 25, 2014

2.8 Baseline Dark Matter Gravity Dispense at Beer Rebellion, Crystal Palace. It pours deep brown with no head. The nose is earthy, coffee, light roast and some underlying sweetness. The taste is mild roast, ash, caramel, cocoa, toast, fruitiness, coffee and earth with a dry finish. Medium body and low/no carbonation. Shame about the condition. So-so. Sunday, June 2, 2013

3.8 Baseline Dark Matter Cask conditioned handpump Old Fountain London 03/05/13. A dark dark brown coloured beer with a whitish head. A sweet boozy yeasty beer. Lots of fruit. Quite Belgian in a way. Not hop forward. Intriguing and very tasty. Stylistically interesting too because I cannot get away from that Belgian yeastiness and sweetness. Thursday, May 9, 2013

3.6 Baseline Dark Matter Tap at Pig’s Ear 2012. This is a brown coloured beer, which came with a bit of a head. It’s kind of a modern style brown ale, balancing biscuity malt, some nutmeg/cinnamon spice, fruity notes and a pleasing dry bitter finish. Well put together and enjoyable. 3.7 Baseline English Electric Lightning Handpull at The Wenlock Arms. Hazy copper-amber (it’s SUPPOSED to be hazy) with a smallish frothy off-white head. Aroma is floral bitterness, light cocoa, prunes and some alc. Taste follows - add marigold bitterness, really interesting and unusual ... mmmmmm. Thick and chewy, astringent, decent carb, long bitter tart blackberry and nougaty finish. Tuesday, August 21, 2012
