3.4 Grevilly Cidre Bouche Brut 750 c&c from a shop in Port en Bessin, Normandy. Cork hit the ceiling! Pours hazy gold with an actual head - white. Aroma is slightly earthy/sour apple. Med minus body. Flavor is earthy apple skin with some actual astringency that somehow makes the tongue seem coated. Definitely dry, but sometimes it seems a bit of sugar peeks out. Goes down incredibly easy. Finishes earthy apple. Don’t know where the skin aspect went. Quite good. Sunday, September 9, 2012

3.4 Grevilly Cidre Bouche Demi-Sec 750 c&c from a shop in Port en Bessin, Normandy. Pours hazy gold with a lot of fizzy carbonation. Aroma of astringent apple juice. Not so much skin as is commonly the case. It’s a very clean aroma, almost suggesting a touch of oak. Near med body. It is slightly sweet, very apple, and there is a finishing bitter skin touch that somewhat overcomes the sugar. Then the sugar seems to win the contest. And there’s still something suggesting a touch of oak. This is very, very drinkable. Friday, September 7, 2012
