coasternut	3.9 Backwoods Brew Lab IPA This is a beer that pours a clear golden color with a minimal head. It has a nice citrus hop aroma. It has a medium to light body with a good solid bitterness, that is not over the top. Well balanced beer one of the better one I had today. Saturday, April 20, 2024
coasternut	3.2 Backwoods Peach Cobbler Sour This beer pours a golden color with no real head and not much aroma, though on tasting you get the peach flavor, though not overly strong it is there. Most peach flavored beers you can't taste the peach flavor because it is so mild, this one comes through better than most. It has a mixture of sweetness and finishes with the sour which lingers for a moment or two. Fairly decent Sour. Saturday, April 20, 2024
coasternut	3.3 Backwoods Strawberry Island Cream Ale This beer pours a golden color with a slight color tinge of red and a minimal head. The aroma is slight strawberry and vanilla. It definitely has a creamy mouthfeel and a distinct strawberry taste. Most fruit flavored beers have very little flavor of the fruit, this one does. It has a little bit of sweetness and bitterness. Overall, for this style of beer it is quite good, though not my favorite style of beer. Saturday, April 20, 2024

The aroma is roasted malts and vanilla with a touch of cinnamon at the finish. Mainly sweet with a hint of bitterness at the finish. Aroma is nice, mellow roasted malt, bourbon, oak. Taste is roasted malt, caramel, bourbon that has a hint of harshness (disappears as it warms), dark fruit, later oak, earth. Solid, flavorful porter, that's light in strength, but heavy on taste. Dark brown pour, cream foam head. Nice cocoa flavor with a nutty grain background. Flavor lingers, and finishes on a cool note.
