Wolftree Mead
375 ml bottle from the meadery. Bottled 8/2016. Pours a clear deep gold with no head. Rich honey, wildflowers, herbs, oak, and a bit of peppercorn spice. Medium-plus bodied, with no carbonation and a sweet, warming mouthfeel. Really good mead. I'd go back to this for sure.

Wolftree Elderberry Mead
Pour from a bottle at the meadery. Pours a clear, deep amber with some bubbles around the edge. Notes of honey, elderberry, leather, and brown sugar. Medium-full bodied, with a sweet, fruity mouthfeel. One of the oldest I'd tried and the elderberry didn't quite pop like some of the other fruits available that day.

Wolftree Other Than Standard Pear Wine
Pour from a bottle at the winery. Pours a lightly cloudy yellow-gold with some bubbles on the edge of the glass. Notes of pear, vanilla, white grapes, and florals. Full-bodied. I preferred the Perry and AP but this is still very good.

Wolftree AP
Pour from a bottle at the winery. Pours a clear white wine color. This one is sweeter than the Perry. Still some tartness and a little spice, too, but definitely sweeter. Medium bodied. Very good.

Wolftree Raspberry Mead
750 ml bottle poured into a snifter. The mead is a clear red. Still. The aroma has notes of raspberry jam and jelly beans. The taste is raspberry sweetness initially, but toward the finisb it gets hot and the alcohol comes through strongly. There is a bit of a burn on the swallow.

Wolftree Cider
750 ml bottle poured into a brandy snifter. The cider is a hazy yellow with no head, but clearly fizzy. The aroma has a big funky apple character to it. Wood and apple skins abound in the taste. Some vinous notes. Can’t say I get much bourbon character from the cider, but can tell it’s wood aged. This is an awesome funky cider. Far exceeds expectations.

Wolftree Blueberry Mead
750 ml bottle poured into a tulip glass. Clear purple color. No sign of carbonation. The aroma is a dry, white wine type of character with subtle fruity tones to it. Fairly dry in taste. I get some chocolate covered blueberries out of it, though. Warming on the back end. Some more fruity sweetness develops as iy comes up to room temperature. Stays dry ovetall.

Wolftree Metheglin
375 ml bottle poured into a snifter. The mead is a moderately clear pale yellow. No head, but there are a lot of bubbles that form around the perimeter of the glass. The aroma has pine boughs, nutmeg, strong spices, perhaps some curry (?), and a sweet, spicy honey. Maybe the honey is a basswood honey? I’ve had similar curry notes in other basswood meads. Smooth, easy drinking mead. The spice of the assumed basswood honey really works well as a metheglin. Very nice mead overall.

Wolftree Blackberry Mead
Poured from a bottle at Jackie-O’s into a wine glass. Appearance is a semi-hazy yellow with just a tint of purple. The aroma is faint, but there is some paper and cardboard notes on top of a muted berry profile. Taste is odd. I get just the faintest impression of sweetness, but the cardboard taste is just too distracting.
