Clean gold with a medium head. Aroma of grainy malt. Flavour is honey malt, grain on a crisp clean finish. Bang on a Helles, would brink pints of this in a beer garden.

On tap at J.W.Sweetman, Dublin. The one I had was New England pale ale in my notes, so I guess this is the one. Unclear orange with white head. Hoppy, tropical fruit, smooth, sweetish. Vague bitterness.

Beautiful red color and a little creamy foam layer. The smell is is bitter and has not very strong but delicious citrusy hop flavors. The beer tastes great. Strong bitterness and those beautiful citrusy hop aroma’s. The bitterness is in balance with s natural sweetness. The beer has in the distance a hint of lemon diet coke. Very fruity and tasteful.

Old rating from 12/8/14, on draft, pours a murky orange into the shaker, huge rich aroma of citrus and tropical fruit, lovely. Taste is surprisingly full compared to most pale’s, full chewy sticky mouthfeel, I wouldn’t say this one is refreshing due to the mouthfeel, but it is one of the better Irish PA’s out there at the moment.

draught into a shaker, color is just what you’d expect from an amber ale, head was very thin though. Aroma of tropical fruit and some bready malt. Taste is a little weak compared to the aroma which suggests a slight imbalance with aroma vs flavoring hops. Finish is medium hoppiness combined well with the sweetness of the malt backbone.

Barrelhead Intergalactic Ale (IGA)
Draught at The Headline. Deep, dark amber, lush off white head, lasts. What a great looking beer. Floral, perfume hops, dry, dusty grain in the aroma. Super flavour, a real aaaah moment on the first sip. Malt forward, some roasted, toasted malt notes, hops come later to complement that big malt. Not an adherent to styles this brewer! Let?s the malt do all the work. Gorgeous texture, smooth, almost creamy, full bodied, minimal carbonation. Palette smacking maltiness in the finish, underpinned by a moderate sweet fruity hop bitterness. So well balanced. Genius.

Barrelhead Blonde
Draught at The Headline. Pale blonde, loads of bubbles , decent lasting frothy white head. Dusty malt, banana esters in the aroma. Flavour is quite dry, hints of sweet malt toward the finish. Everything is rounded out in the malt bill, feels full in the mouth but light enough bodied. Light enough carbonation makes for easy drinking.

keg at ICBCF 2014 Decent 5AM saint a like perhaps missing some of the fresh hop punch on the nose but certainly delivering in the sweet vs bitter hopping stakes.[be] Cask at l Mulligan grocer...is this a completely different beer? Darker a touch more roasty and apart from some leafy hops not much in the way of bitterness, now like a less sweet Irish red or perhaps a mild. Don’t get me wrong, still decent but not the same!
