Off the Grid Trail Blazer Red
A murky amber pour with an off-white head. Nose is sweet toffee, floral hops, grass, and tons of green apple. A definite acetone aroma, a slight vegetal quality, and toasted bread. Huge green apple and raw vegetable flavor. Some sweet toffee, toast, and bready malt, too. A touch of yeast and very light floral hop notes.

Off the Grid Trail Blazer Red
Tap at Inland Empire Brewing in Riverside, CA. This is the debut beer for "Off the Grid Brewing" which doesn’t have a physical brewery, but gypsy brews it seems on IE’s system. No beer style given, but as a 7% "red ale" I’ve placed it under ASA. This was dissimilar to the IE beers by quite a margin. Whereas IE’s beer anthology was plagued by over attenuation and massive dryness (better than diacetyl or DMS), this beer was definitely an amateur effort in all respects.

Pours a full haze maroon with larger beige foam. A heavily vegetal nose with malt extract character like sweet maple syrup, celery, cherries. Taste is dry, minerally, some celery, maple. Almost exactly like some of my first malt extract homebrew batches.
