4.3 New Helvetia Thurston Adambier Bought at States Street Liquor from Redlands, California for $15.99, Thurston Adambier is a barrel aged Adambier crafted by New Helvetia Brewing Company from Sacramento, California. The air yields caramel, chocolate, bourbon, and vanilla upon the nose. The appearance is a dark amber that pours a minimal beige head. When held up to light, the color shifts to a reddish copper. The alcohol content is 11%. Caramel slightly sweetens the complexion followed by a complimentary chocolate tone. Bourbon colors the caramel and chocolate body, and fairly warms the relatively dry finish. Sterling hops imbues a peppery and tobacco tint to the caramel and bourbon frame. Plums are discernible upon the caramel profile. Vanilla fairly creams the drink, blending with the caramel and bourbon. Honey lightly paints the vanilla and bourbon solution. Magnum hops gently bitters the take and leaves a spice behind during the bourbon finish. Oak gives off a woodsy touch to the caramel, bourbon, and plum mouthfeel. Thurston Adambier is a voluptuous barrel aged Adambier. Caramel, chocolate, bourbon, Sterling hops, plums, vanilla, honey, Magnum hops, and oak combine into a delicious craft beer. Caramel, chocolate, bourbon, tobacco like Sterling hops, and oak fills the body. Boozy bourbon and creamy vanilla makes it easy to drink this beer followed by a honey tint. The pepper like Sterling hops and spicy Magnum hops fuses with the caramel and bourbon. I cherished every single drink and mesmerized by the complexity and depth of this brew. Cheers. Prost.
