2.8 Corfe Sovereign Bottled, 500ml from Shaftesbury Wines, Shaftesbury, Dorset. Hazy gold with short head. There is a farmy note on opening, sulphur hints leading to quite a thinnish, cereal, yeasty beer, some fruitiness. Not too keen on this one. Sunday, October 4, 2015

3 Corfe Gloriette Bottled, 500ml from Chalbury Food & Wine, Weymouth, Dorset. Brown with thin white head. Sweetish malts lead the way here, there is a stewed, grainy character in the bottle with a hint of a farmy nose. Slightly syrupy later on. Just okay. Friday, October 2, 2015

2.7 Corfe Sovereign Bottle at home @4.9%, thanks to Mr Scott for the acquisition, 08/06/14. Clear pale golden with a well appointed white head that retains. Nose is pale malt, bread dough, mellow fruit rinse, faint butterscotch but not full blown ’D’ word. Taste comprises mellow fruits, pale malt, light yeast strains, grassy, hint of caramel. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, light bitterness in the close. Pretty mediocre stuff, as leaparsons stated - some lager-esque qaulities to this one! Sunday, June 8, 2014

3.5 Corfe Raven 500 ml bottle purchased at the actual castle in Dorset. Clear, dark amber body with a light beige head. Quite nice aroma of roasted malt and chocolate. Flavor is sweet, dark roasted malt, quite strong dark chocolate, hint of coffee and moderate bitterness. A rather nice mild with an impressive well balanced body for this low ABV. A pleasant session ale. Sunday, March 16, 2014

3.2 Corfe Raven Bottle. A clear, dark brown beer topped by a finger-thick beige head. The aroma is roasted, lightly burnt, with a faint touch of prunes. There’s a roasted kind of bitterness in the flavor, a faint note of cheese, and the same malty goodness known from the aroma. It’s medium bodied and soft with a nice carbonation level. Short, roasted finish with a bready touch. A pretty nicec one, easy drinkable too. 140207 Wednesday, March 12, 2014
