2.9 Sutton Cellars Farmhouse Cider Tap (cask?) at Magnolia Brewing in San Francisco. Flat and cloudy with no discernible head or bubbles. Funky as hell, to the point of almost being a vinegar bomb. There is little apple left here, which I consider a shame. I love a good, funky cider but this has gone too far. Straight acetic acid does not a good drink make. My wife claimed to like it, but then couldn’t drink more than two sips, which I think says something. Gentle carbonation and a lighter hand would help here. Tuesday, June 18, 2013 | |
