Fallbrook Reche Rye
[ Keg ][ 5oz ][ Fallbrook ][ $2 ][ Mini Weizen ][ 4.16.15 ]
>> Clear brown pour with health foam. Brown sugar, sticky nose. Taste is too sweet, brown sugar, verging on cloying. Okay palate with some dark bread crust to balance. As it warms, chlorine flavors take hold and make it go from not great to not good.

Fallbrook Vanilla in the Rye
On cask at the brewery. Deep murky reddish brown pour, with a small off white head. Sweet sugar, some rye spiciness, vanilla extract, metallic bitterness, and that chemical cleaner taste I get in most of their beers. Not very pleasant.

Fallbrook Millo Single Hop IPA

Fallbrook Java Hill Cream Ale
On draft at the brewery. Very murky yellow, with brownish tinge, and a dirty white head. This beer is dominated by coffee, which is probably a good thing since the base beer is not very good. Coffee grounds, grain, notes of bleach, and a bit sweet.

Fallbrook Ammunition IPA
Vintage: 2014 Appearance: Hazy Copper; Fluffy White Head; Good Lacing; Medium Carbonation Activity Smell: Faint Grapefruit; Honey; Biscuit Malt Taste: Big Malt Sweetness; Slight Sour Note; Indistinguishable Fruit, Old Peach? Mouth-feel: Low Carbonation; Creamy, almost like it’s on Nitro; Medium Body; Overall: Bleh! Comments: The people at this brewery are amazing, and will gladly talk to you about all things beer. Unfortunately, this beer misses the mark, particularly for being in San Diego County and claiming to be a “West Coast IPA.”
