Taste is bitter the whole way through with a touch of spice at the finish. Soft, slightly sweet, malty, white bread sweetness underneath. Medium bodied, mild carbonation. Body both chewy and smooth. Schlenkerla29	3.8 Lieberth Lagerbier Von diesem oberfränkischen Bier hatte ich im Vorfeld bereits allerlei gehört. Nun habe ich es endlich selbst im Glas, wo es sich bernsteinfarben, hefetrüb und mit präsentabler wolkiger Schaumpracht offenbart. Feines brotiges und leicht karamelliges, aber nicht übersüßtes Malz sowie eine wohltuende hopfenwürzige Herbe schmeicheln der Nase. Betont gerstig und leicht hefig steigt das Lieberth Lager ausgesprochen beherzt und gleichzeitig weich im Trunk ein. Augenblicklich kommt eine solide, aber nicht überzogene grasige Hopfenherbe ins Spiel. Dieses sortentypisch schlank gehaltene Lager erweist sich mildrezent und ausgesprochen hefweich, was den Fluss entsprechend begünstigt. Im Abgang kommt die bereits erwähnte formidable Hopfung abermals zu ihrem Recht. Sie darf als krönender Abschluss dieses überragenden Franken-Lagers betracht werden. Bin rundum begeistert! Aroma is bready malts and some crispness with mild grassy and herbal tones. Flavour is quite bitter with some grassy and herbal notes along with quite a big malty body to it too. Taste is cereals, medium sweet maltiness, a bit rural, sugar icing, noble hop finish. Fatty oily Landbier mouthfeel with natural carbonation.
