KevinReddirt	3.5 Coachella Valley IPA The closest thing to a local beer offered on tap at Henry’s Bar & Grill in Cathedral City, CA, I got a 16 oz shaker glass serving. It arrived an indistinct, amber-orange in color with a modest cover of totally white foam that later laced well. The scent gave off tropical with a bit of hops. And the taste was tangerine, grapefruit, malt, some pine and biscuit. My opinion is that the beer tilts towards New England style with its sweetness. Fair enough brew, nothing groundbreaking. BlackHaddock	3.3 Coachella Valley JT IPA 16oz can picked up in Carlsbad and drank at my daughters place in Laguna Hills on 12th July 2023. Expected a redder colour and a Rye like taste, but I got neither. Deep golden body, lasting white crown. Citrus nose and initial taste, some light malt action for sweetness and balance. Been to Joshua Tree National Park, so thought I'd try the beer! Thursday, July 13, 2023
brokensail	2.8 Coachella Valley Desert Citrus On tap @ Tommy Bahamas. Pours a slightly hazed yellow beer with a tall white head. Strong honey and biscuit notes. Wheat bread, some sweet citrus, and a faint butterscotch note on the finish. Light floral hops and a touch of grass. Minimal bitterness. Eh. Sunday, July 9, 2023

brokensail	3.4 Coachella Valley JT IPA On tap @ Hair of the Dog Palm Springs. Pours a clear orange color with a white head. Rather strong herbal character on this along with a ton of pithy and oily grapefruit. There’s some pine, orange rind, and a touch of dried pineapple. Fairly sweet with lots of bread, caramel, and sweet citrus fruits. Maybe a touch of burnt toast. It’s mostly okay, just a little rough around the edges. Wednesday, October 26, 2022

GarrettB	3.1 Coachella Valley Desert Swarm July 9th, 2016 - Enjoyed and imbibed up at the peak overlooking Palm Springs, this pint stayed indoors. Light and citrusy on the nose, it has a gleam of orange peel and clove. Surprisingly bright for a beer with such a dark and murky hue. dflb	5 Coachella Valley / Rock's Brewing Coriolis Effect Purchased at Sams Market from Joshua Tree, California for $15.99, Coriolis Effect is an Imperial Wet Hop India Pale Ale crafted in collaboration between Rocks Brewing Company from Alexandria NSW, Australia and Coachella Valley Brewing Company from Thousand Palms, California. The fragrance of citrusy, tropical, piney, and herbal hops are felt upon the nose. The appearance is a clear reddish amber with a low white head. The alcohol content is 10.5%. The wet hop Amarillo hops provide a watery grapefruit sensation to the complexion. Caramel malt textures and flavors the body. Cantaloupe is pungent to the caramel and grapefruit frame. Lemongrass gleams the grapefruit and pine notes. Mandarin oranges compliments the plum and grapefruit blend. A combination of plum and cherry adds a dimension to the comprehension. An earthy, sweet accent colors the caramel feel. Dill flavors the lemongrass and grapefruit characters. Coriolis Effect is a beautiful Imperial IPA. The symphony of flavors from the Australian and New Zealand hops, Rakau, Wakau, and Motueka, along with Sorachi Ace hops and Amarillo wet hops are voluptuous to the drink and provide a moderate bitter take. The caramel, grapefruit, lemongrass, and mandarin orange harmonize handsomely together. The plum, cherry, and mandarin orange excites the drink. The lemongrass, dill, and pine dazzles the citrus base. I treasured every drink as the hoppy composition delivers a complex and flavorful libation. BrewSpot	3 Coachella Valley Kölschella I am confused as hell when drinking this beer. Kolsch-style ale? WTH is that? Kolsch is a ale by itself, and this beer ain't nothing I expect from a Kolsch. First thing first, the scent is a bit too strong, with some actual floral and citrusy notes. The aroma is much stronger than what I would expect from a Kolsch. The appearance is also a bit off. The color is slightly too dark for a Kolsch, showing some light amber color. The flavor...oh, the flavor! The sourness, the tartness, almost reminds me of a light lemonade. I do not taste the nice, crisp malt flavor of kolsch. What I get is some over-oxidation notes, sourness, and hint of bitterness from hop. The mouthfeel is odd. Not very dry, but aftertaste is not very outstanding. The beer is okay to drink, but I think it failed in each and every category. BeerLimey	4.1 Coachella Valley I.P. Freely Growler from Brewery. Lightly hazed golden hue, excellent head formation and retention. Plenty of tropical fruit on the nose alongside piney hops. Apricot and orange fruit up front, plenty of grapefruit bitterness and spice in the finish. Great balance. Palate is medium bodied and there's a slightly oily texture. White wine/chardonnay up front, banana and coriander, followed by a fairly sour bitter, bubble gum finish. It's more like a German hefe than a Belgian wit. Well carbonated, medium to light on the palate. Sweet fruity bubblegum mid-palate accompanied by a peppery spice, and a strong (for style) bitter citric finish. Obviously brewed as their light entry-level beer, but maybe a little too extreme for the domestic crowd. I'm not usually a Kolsch fan, but this was much better than I'd expected.
