Nice on the nose, strong ginger notes, spice, herbal candy, hints of honey. Lighy body, lively carbonation. Average mouthfeel and texture, lightweight, fizzy, easily drinkable. Balanced bittersweet taste with very subtle tart in the background. Aroma of malt, herbs and spices, ginger, nice peppery touch. Grassy, tea leaves, honey. Light stickiness. Ripe fruit notes in the background. Short lasting finish, dry, lingering spice. Interesting brew. Lacking more body a bit but quite flavorful. Sunday, January 8, 2023

Herbal and fruity nose, peach, sweet, candy notes. Light to medium body, average carbonation. Light mouthfeel and texture, slightly chewy, goes down nicely. Sweet with bitter aftertaste. Aroma of fruit candy, peach, hints of citruses. Caramel, floral notes, herbal aftertaste. Sticky. Slightly unbalanced bitterness throughout the finish, seems a bit out of place. Hrabren	3.3 Križevačko Đumbeer On tap at Craft Room, Opatovina, Zagreb. Clear amber, small off-white head. Aroma is spices, caramel, toast, bread, butter, honey, lemon peel. Some ginger. Grainy flavour with honey, ginger, herbs, spices and a nice hoppy finish with round bitterness. A bit of harsh phenolic touch, some plastic. Otherwise nice and quite rich. Spices are in balance, although there is a strike out or two. Light to medium body, quite drinkable, light moderately lasting finish. A good blend. Saturday, December 21, 2019

nephirem	3.1 Križevačka Mater On tap @Medina Škrinja, Varaždin. Cloudy copper pour, one finger frothy off-white head. Medium retention, lots of lacing on the glass as it goes down. A bit undefined in the nose, malts, herbs, touch of honey... Nothing stands out in particular really. Medium body, medium carbonation, a bit prickly. Somewhat watery mouthfeel although the texture does have a certain amount of creaminess to it. All in all, goes down smoothly. Taste is a combination of honey/malty sweetness with relatively strong bitterness afterwards. Bitterness seems a bit out of place, slightly harsh and abrupt. Lingers on the tongue, killing other flavours a bit... Anyways, beneath it all we have solid malty backbone, herbs and spices, mild honey notes. Some tropical notes coming through, quite shy. Akcohol is well hidden. Sticky. Long lasting finish, dry with lingering bitterness. Overall, a bit undefined and all over the place. Feels like perhaps it should mature a bit before everything falls into place. Potential is certainly there. Sunday, December 30, 2018

Aroma of brown toast, burnt caramel, blackcurrant, raisin, peanut, black pepper, tobacco, candied fig, unfortunately a bit off as well, glue-ish. It tastes medium malty sweet, bready with accents of raisin & fig, and light herbal bitter, faint toast. Not too dry, toasty finish, faintly hoppy, lingering nuts & coffee. Aroma of mango, orange peel, bready malt, unripe tangerine, yeast, floral touch. It tastes light to medium fruity sweet, orangey, and light hoppy bitter, notes of mango rind & grapefruit, a bit grassy. Dry, fruity & piney hoppy finish, bittering effect.
