oh6gdx	1.9 Hatebrew Imperialistisika IPA Draught (backlog). Hazy reddish amber colour with no head. And no carbonation either it proved out. Aroma is red berries, yeast, some grains and mild rubbery and alcohol notes. Flavour is sweet malts, glue, some alcohol, berries, mild grassy and floral notes too. Saturday, February 18, 2017

nihtila	3.8 Hiisi / Hatebrew Metsänpeitto 10.5.2014. Keg. Almost black with very dense thick brown foam. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee. Palate is quite full bodied and balanced, chocolate, slight roast, coffee, bitterness and a hint of mebtioned blueberries. Definitely top Finnish imperial stouts. Could be a bit more body. Andy_	2.7 Hatebrew Imperialistisika IPA tap@Nordic, keg aged for 1,5 years Hazy amber coloured beer with blonde to beige persistent dense head. Aroma and flavor have strawberry jam, cherries, fruit candy, syrupy sweetness, light tartness and grapefruity bitterness. Palate is quite full with heavy carbonation and feel of bitterness. Finish is dry and tart with bitterness. Aftertaste has cherries, red grapefruit, resin and plastic. Obviously this is a contaminated IPA which has generated carbonation during aging and not lost its bitterness. At first it tasted like half Oud Bruin half IPA but towards the end of the glass it was just really stale sour bitter, like drinking lingonberry juice. Thursday, March 12, 2015

Aroma is roasted notes along with some berries and mild sourness as well as some funkiness. Flavour is mild berries, some roasted notes as well as mild sourness and some yeast as well. Finwe	3.6 Hiisi / Hatebrew Metsänpeitto Draught @ Kaisla, Helsinki. Practically black with a tan head. Malty aroma with roasted notes of coffee and chocolate; also a hint of berry-like sourness, probably because of the bilberries used. The flavour is malty sweet, somewhat bitter and has a similar sourness to that in the aroma, although not much flavour to what I would connect with bilberries is present, except maybe in the finish. lusikka	3.6 Hiisi / Hatebrew Metsänpeitto Draught @ Naamat, Tampere. Pours a black colour with a thick creamy beigr head. Aroma of roasted malts, pie crusts and grass. Flavour is very smooth with roastiness, subtle bilberry notes, cream and bitterness. Bilberry gets a bit noticeable towards the end. Rich and smooth mouthfeel. olio	3.6 Hiisi / Hatebrew Metsänpeitto Tap @ Naamat. Pours dark red, almost black color with a medium sized beige head, leaves some nice lacing on sides. Very malty and a bit grainy on the nose, some hops with subtle chocolate and salmiac notes, bilberry notes are quite faint but maybe that’s a good thing. Lots of hops on the flavor also, licorice and rye notes with a fairly roasty and malty backbone. I was about to mention Plevnan Siperia here but then come the slightly disturbing vegetable notes to ruin the show. This is not as refined either. With a little polishing this would be very tasty. Aroma is mild but has has roasted malts, chocolate, licorice, coffee and some blueberries. Flavor has roasted malts, dark chocolate and some sour blueberries. Palate is fuller than medium with quite heavy carbonation. Finishes with quite heavy bitterness and some alcohol. Quite dry for an IS, the berries add a nice crisp touch. Thursday, May 8, 2014

Re-rate in oljenkorsi. Bottle. Hazy dirty copper body. Aroma has dark yeasty hops, bit raspberry, grainy caramelly malt. Flavour has really harsh hoppiness, some citric acid and alcohol. jookos	3 Hatebrew Imperialistisika IPA Tap@wka. Dark amber red. Strong piney, toasted carmel flavours. Doesn’t have the gone-bad’ness of the previous I had, but still a lot of homebrewy dirt. Up from 2.4 though. Like the freshness and unfakeness of it. Tap@oe13. Amber red copper, clear. Apparently they’ve had problems with the carbonation, so virtually flat. Initially a glueish, slight aceto- vibe on nose. Full body, nice piny mango flavours. Too bad about the carbonation, it might had bounced some of those spoilt-beer aromas. Unpleasant and harshly bitter flavour with vegetables, rubbery nores, some caramel and hints of toffee. Terrible, I just can’t get over the harsh bitterness. It haunts me on every sip.
