New Buildings Fortress
Cask at The Wellington, Birmingham. Pours black with beige to tanned head, decent lacing. This one had notes of liquorice, plum, wood although I felt like it was missing something. It had a decent smoothness to it. Not bad,

New Buildings Manor House
Cask at Lord Burton, Burton-on-Trent. Pours a murky dark brown with minimal cream head. There’s malts and caramel in the aroma, plus some hints of chocolate. In the mouth it is briefly sweet and creamy (if somewhat watery) sour fruitiness swamps it all. Some traces of malts, caramel and blackcurrant can be detected, but overall I think this beer had gone off. REQUIRES A RERATE.

New Buildings Windmill Best Bitter
Cask at Standing Order, Derby. Pours “bitter brown” with a small off-white head. The aroma is sweet with malts to the fore plus hints of Nuts and autumn fruits. Pretty much the same to start with in the mouth, with mushy apple flavour and traces of orange and floral hops. Later it becomes slightly bitter with toffee and hints of caramel leading to a slightly dry finish. This is a decent old school bitter.
