On bottle from Gulating Ølutsalg, Strômmen. Golden Color, slightly hazy- good foam. Immediately hoppy, good fruitiness- some citrus. Medium body & complexity. Good bitterness and balance. Enjoyable

Det Norske Brenneri Roughneck Pale Ale
Muddy, hop-aromatic APA with a lot of foam. Tastes of American hops, raspy aftertaste; subtones of apricot and peach. Good APA.

Det Norske Brenneri Roughneck Pale Ale
Bottle @ The Flying Dutchman, Bergen. Pours a clear golden body with a medium creamy head. Nose is pineapple, rose water, pale malts, pine and hints of grass and citrus. Taste is pale malts, grass, melon and hints of red fruits. Light body, medium carbonation. Nice and easy-going mild American pale ale.

Det Norske Brenneri Roughneck Pale Ale
330ml bottle at Beer Palace. Tightly packed white head to a hazy golden body. Fresh aroma of grapefruit and grassy hops. Mid-dry flavours of fruity hops nicely mixed with earthy malts. Moderate bittersweet tail. Smooth in the mouth. A moreish beer with session qualities (Oslo 11.03.2014).

Det Norske Brenneri Roughneck Pale Ale
Bottle at the Broker, Oslo. Clear gold, fine carbonation. Soft and smooth, fruits and flowers in the nose, inviting. Light body, just the right amount of bitterness in the tail.

Det Norske Brenneri Roughneck Pale Ale
330 ml bottle, from the brewery (which probably is only a client brewer)*, they are otherwise a distillery (Arvesølvet Aquavit). ABV is 4.5%. Hazy deep golden colour, moderate to low white head. Nice aroma of spicy and citrussy hops, probably American. Light bodied, plenty of carbonation in the mouth. Fresh and citrussy flavour, a decent bitterness in the finish. A pleasant refreshment, no more, no less. *It has now been confirmed that the actual contract brewer is Dugges, Sweden.
