Red River Heliopolis
Bottle. Yellow and mildly hazy with a nice Germanic liveliness. It emits a notedly malty aroma. But onto the palate, this has a distinct fruity character that I wouldn't normally align with beer in the Fatherland. That said, it's a nice summer quencher. (#7050, 5/2018)

Red River Hay Ryed
Bottle. Pours a nice-looking pale yellow-orange, mostly opaque. The head is thin but firm and stands a long time. The aromas and flavors are both robust and full of earthen fruits, citrus, and brewery mash. This could be a new fridge beer, and I generally am not a fan of wheat beers. The rye adds muscle! Red River Session 18
Bottle. For a "session" IPA, this is a meaty brew. Amber with a golden tinge, thin but firmly topped. The aroma and flavors are both robust such a low ABV product. It has the same sticky hop character as some of my favorite DIPAs ... a pleasant surprise, if just a bit grassy. (#7045, 5/2018)

Dark amber beer with a thin light tan head that disappears quickly. Sweet nose of toffee, vanilla, caramel, and rum raisin. Flavor is not nearly as sweet (thankfully) with cream soda, unbaked dough, and caramel followed by a mild bitterness that provides good balance. Enjoyable.
