Slightly piney, resinous, muggy, sweaty, fruity hoppy, notes of overripe nectarine and peach. Served into a tulip, ABV 7.5% Deep copper orange colour on the body, clear, with almost two full fingers of thick and soapy, off-white head. Great retention. Aroma of caramel malts, hops, grapefruit, citrus. Taste is nicely bitter, with caramel malts, grass, light citrus, grapefruit, some pin eon the finish, well hidden alcohol. Medium carbonation. * Taste: Citrus fruit, quickly obliterated by intense spicy and malty notes, with a surprising dark malt note. Resinous pine in the middle, but still carried by a strong malty note. Mildly alcoholic, increasingly bitter and resinous finish with a fruit note working against it. After taste of spices, herbs and pine. * Impressions: Intriguingly "different" strong IPA with impressive herbal and spicy notes and hops and malts putting up a fight for dominance.
