Drake	3.2 Beltway HOV (Blood Orange) 12 ounce can thanks to hershiser2! 9/23/23. Hazy amber, medium white head, average retention. Aroma of intense blood orange, pale malt. Taste is strong blood orange, pale malt, small bit of grapefruit and vanilla. Juicy, no bitterness. Saturday, September 23, 2023

radagast83	3.8 Beltway Abstract Vision: Blueberry 16oz can, purchased from the brewery before they closed. Poured a blueberry juice color with a small, creamy white head. Aroma was big blueberry notes, juicy blueberry skin. Flavor was sour blueberry pie, but not overly sweet. Really liked the balance of the sweet and tartness in this one. jgb9348	3.7 Beltway The Circle Very hazy, completely straw coloured body with a massive, eight centimetre tall off-white frothy head that fades very slowly over top of the 85 per cent opaque body. Aroma of light stone fruits and some scents of apples/pears and a touch of tropical fruits with some soft oats and wheat malt noticeable, but not much else. Medium-bodied; Crisp, fruity flavours show at first with a good balance of rich malts that provide a deep body, but still very easy-drinking and a nice hoppiness that shows up as a clean alpha acid bitterness near the end - but crisp throughout. Aftertaste is enjoyable, quite easy-drinking, but still flavourful and rich, but not complex or fitting into a single IPA category/style. Overall, a pretty nice, crisp, easy-drinking-ish and slightly bitter, but packing some nice flavours in an unfiltered package! Nice to try locally and reminiscent of the lower ABV Aslin IPAs that I really enjoy! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Harris Teeter in Arlington (Pentagon Row), Virginia on 28-June-2022 for US$1,87 (part of a mixed six pack) and sampled at my house here in Washington on 14-July-2022. Aroma was light tropical fruits, juicy, some herbal notes. Flavor was light orange, tropical fruit. Almost a bit too hazy, perhaps a bit chalky? Tuesday, July 25, 2023

radagast83	3 Beltway Abstract Vision: Passionfruit Orange Guava 16oz can. Picked up at the brewery a week before it closed. Poured a mostly clear yellow color with a lot of carbonation - bubbly, but in a soda water kind of way rather than a more compact bubbly carbonation. Aroma had huge passion fruit tartness and sweet guava, lots of orange candy. Flavor is light tartness, from the passion fruit. It's light and refreshing, but I kind of wish there was a bit more body to this. Tuesday, July 25, 2023

radagast83	3.5 Beltway Art In Execution 2022 Rye Barrel Aged Red Sour Poured a clear, but dark slightly ruby red color with a small white head. Aroma was light Woody vanilla, mild tartness. Definitely can taste the rye barrel. Would love a little bit more funkiness in this one or a bit more body to it as it felt a touch thin. Alcohol content was on point though. jgb9348	3.5 Beltway HOV (Blood Orange) Relatively crisp copper and light orange glowing coloured body with a nice, two to three centimetre tall off-white head that starts nice and fades pretty quickly without leaving much on top, but a bunch on the sides. Relatively pungent aroma of bright oranges, tangerines, flowers, grass, hay and a lot of dry herbal notes with some fresh hops noticeable, but a bunch of the fruity, even slightly tart notes here - nice! Light to Medium-bodied; Strong fresh orange flavours dominate here with a tiny hop bitterness, but much more acidic and tart notes from the orange peel/curacao and a big kick of herbal notes on the end that are supported nicely by the malts. Aftertaste is slightly dry but showing a very nice pungent and even tart profile with a ton of fresh, pure orange notes, and not much else, but what is here is great! Overall, a nice beer, and while I'm not sure what style this really fits into, it's nice and reminds me of either a fruit beer or a fruited saison - nice and crisp with good fresh fruit notes throughout. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Trader Joe's in Falls Church (Skyline), Virginia on 08-September-2022 for US$1,84 sampled in my hotel room here in [inner harbor] Baltimore, Maryland on 25-October-2022. jgb9348	2.6 Beltway Fest! Clear, very light amber coloured body that is definitely closer to golden with a thinnish, single to at most two centimetre tall just off-white head. Aroma of bread, crisp lager yeast, a dash of biscuity malts and a hint of subdued caster sugars, but not much more than that - very mild in the nose. Light-bodied; Very bready flavours at first dominate with a lot of graininess, some yeast pungency towards the end with a dry, biscuity and malt finish without any real sugars and no complexity at all to speak of. Aftertaste shows only the malts, yeast and bread notes with a big bitterness from the yeast and a biscuity flavour that doesn't lead onto any sugars or additional flavours. Overall, a pretty standard light marzen without any real complexity or pungency and while this might be good for those who don't really want any flavours or complexity, this is substandard for style and for the brewery, and pretty dissapointing! Definitely not worth trying unless you really like the style and have had everything else local! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Trader Joe's in Glen Allen/Short Pump (Richmond), Virginia on 26-September-2022 for US$2,50 sampled in my hotel room here in Novi, Michigan with two of my kids on 21-October-2022. Some citrus notes from the aroma, but mostly bready malts. The taste was clean and crisp with hints of citrus and crystal malts. The ale has a medium body with average carbonation.
