Fin	3.3 Zeltner Spezial On tap at Nürnberg Bierfest, Saturday 10th June 2023. Pours hazy orange, pillow white head, nice white head. Nose is a little bit doughy, taste a little chewy, however this is no criticism, it's decent, nice carbonation, there is a little tonic water thing going on, good but the Pils from Batzen Brau was better. Schlenkerla29	3.3 Zeltner Vollbier Hell „Wer Zeltner Bier nicht köstlich find't ... ist auf der Zunge farbenblind." klärt das Etikett den geneigten Bierfreund auf. Einem solchen Vorwurf sehe ich mich natürlich nur sehr ungern ausgesetzt. Goldgelb und mit stattlicher Schaumkrone offenbart es sich recht ansprechend. Fülliges brotiges Malz und eine milde kräuterige Hopfung wirken ebenso ansprechend. Der weich Einstieg erfolgt regelrecht dickmalzig, allerdings mit gezähmter, fein karamelliger Süße. Die Hopfung wirkt indes nicht sonderlich ausgefeilt, allerdings hat sie gegen das reichliche Malz auch einen schweren Stand. Neben Anklängen an Vanille und Honig kann ich noch eine fruchtige Note (¿überlagerte Äpfel?) ausmachen. Bei milder Rezenz ist das vollmundige Zeltner Vollbier wunderbar leichtläufig. Im süßmalzig ausklingenden Abgang tritt eine sehr milde hopfenwürzige Herbe hinzu. Ein anständiges Helles! Ach ja ... und natürlich „köstlich“. Wednesday, March 15, 2023

Garrold	3.8 Zeltner Vollbier Hell Bottle. Beer Stop, Dronfield. Can’t tell the colour as I’m having it out me new stein. It’s got a big head, though. Nose has caramel. Sweet grain. Fruity hop notes. Taste: moderate sweet, more bread, with light grassy bitterness on the finish. Thin to medium body with soft carbonation is soft. A little sweet but I enjoyed it, it would pair well with a curry. Herzog_Wilhelm	2.8 Zeltner Vollbier Hell Another Nürnberg Beer Revival. The original Zeltner ceased to be in the seventies, now it is made by in contract but dristibuted by the Zeltner Familiy business. I like the fact that this new Nuremberg beer is not a fancy dry-hopped beer experiment, but just a classic Helles with a good drinkability. Slightly bitter and loosing most of the carbonation in short time, I would advise to drink it as in the good old times (rather quick). Monday, March 9, 2015
