Plough Monday Organic X-17 Hoppy Pale Ale
Sparkly, highly carbonated body with a poofy white head. Soft floral hop notes meld sweetly with the an amber malt and hay backbone. Body has a floral and herbal hop character with some ESB-like bitter notes that linger on the palate. On the light end of the spectrum and a tad watery, but easy drinking.

Plough Monday Organic Abbey White Ale.
750ml bottle from Lifesource in Salem OR. $7.99 I am apprehensive about this as i start., PL do excellent darker styles but not so good in lighter..and this is as light as they get! Pours a pale yellow that is ever so slightly hazed. Small white head that dissipates to leave nice lace down the glass. Not much aroma..slightly yeasty and phenolic..with whiff of alcohol. Taste is classic witbier..light, phenolic, honey and straw. Light with a semi dry finish. Palate is to style and nothing more or less. Could use a touch more carbonation. This is a "OK" beer..again PL prove not to be able to master the lighter styles..but its drinkable certainly.

Plough Monday Organic Imperial Stout
750 ml bottle from Whole Foods. Pours a nearly jet black color with a medium brown head. A Big roasty and chocolate nose. The flavor is very good: roast, heavy at times, metallic, dark fruit, sugary caramel and toffee, some vanilla. Round earthy malts. Milk sugar. Quite good. No heat at over 10%. Licorice, anise and dark roasted malts. Lovely.

A mighty fine brown indeed, nice sweet malts, very fruity or floral, well balanced with a bitterness and roasty notes, hints of chocolate, solid body and finish and just a lot of depth.

Plough Monday Organic X-17 Hoppy Pale Ale
750ml bottle from Lifesource in Salem OR. $6.99 Clear darker gold in colour with a nice thick and frothy cream coloured head. Nice to look at. Weirdly subdued nose..some faint hops and mainly caramel malts. Taste is similar.very balanced indeed.caramel malts and some resiny herbal hops. Hops become more noticeable as an after taste. Mouth feel is fine enough..rather smooth and silky. Not the best. I prefer their darker beers .

Amazing flavor, I really love the dark chocolate that the previous rater noted. Only downfall is the weak alcohol content. Other than that, terrific beer!

Plough Monday Organic Basil Ale
750ml bottle from Lifesource in Salem OR. $6.99..usual good value. Pours a clear golden colour with a small off white head. Aroma of fruity hops, herbs and pine. Some caramel. Taste similar to the aroma but the basil appears stronger. But doesnt really get in the way too much. Liked the carbonation in this lively and light. Maybe a tad too much alcohol showing in the end. Good beer..as usual from PM.

Plough Monday Imperial Breakfast Porter
750ml bottle from Lifesource in Salem Oregon. This is now Organic and 10% alc, Batch #3. Pours the darkest of browns with a small lighter tan head. Aromas mainly of medium roast fresh ground coffee and 70% cacao chocolate bars Dome slight ash and woodiness..but nice. Smooth tasting..chocolate, coffee , cream and toast. Alcohol is there but barely noticed. Nice mouth feel its thick but not as thick as most of the style which adds to the drink-ability. Very nice porter.

Plough Monday Imperial India Pale Ale
Bottle. From Last Drop maybe? I don’t remember.

Big aggressive IIPA pressing into barleywine territory. I don’t often drink beers like this but I’m actually kind of enjoying this one. Huge amounts of malt, hops already tasting a bit aged, unfortunately. Earthy, tasty. Alcohol reasonably subdued (I would have thought 8.5% not 9.7%). Not a bad deal at six bucks. I’d try their beers in styles I like a bit more.

From the bottle and label design to the aftertaste I’m impressed with this one. You can definitely taste the alcohol in this one, but it’s not overbearing. Very nicely balanced.

Plough Monday Organic Oatmeal Amber Ale
750 ml bottle bought from Lifesource in Salem OR. $6.99 Pours a deep amber colour with the most gorgeous thick, undying cream coloured head. Oddly very subdued aroma even when a hole is blown in the head..mostly caramel and oats. Taste is of chocolate, cream, caramels and cocoa. Nice.Few hops in the end. Mouth feel is very nice smooth maybe a little thin and carbonation medium. A nice amber..one on the maltier side.

Plough Monday Organic Oatmeal Amber Ale
750 ml bottle. Listed as Oatmeal Organic Amber Ale, no Imperial in the name. 6.3%. Hmm. New listing? Hard to say, but hard to imagine that they make a 7.7 and 6.3% version. Anyway, I?ll check. Pours a clear reddish color with a large white head. A light husky grainy nose. Sweet caramel, toast, some floral elements, clear oats. Sweet. OK. Would be good on cask I suspect.

Plough Monday Imperial Breakfast Porter
Batch #4. Very dark pour with a beige head. Aroma is sweet vanilla, faint coffee bean, caramel, brown sugar. Very sweet aroma. Full bodied. Flavor loads of sweet vanilla, sweet bread malt, light brown sugar. Finish is mostly syrupy sweet with a touch of bitterness. I wish it followed closer to the aroma. A very nice, but very sweet, imperial porter. (#2700)

Plough Monday Organic Summer Stout
750 ml bottle from Lifesource natural grocers in Salem OR $5.99 Darkest mahogany brown ale..with amber aspects held to the light. Small creamy tan coloured head. Aromas of brown sugar, molasses, cream and ash. Hints of dark chocolate and Italian coffee.very nice. Taste is all of the aroma plus more cocoa,,sweet hot chocolate style. Excellent Mouth feel is really good in that it is not heavy as one would expect giving this tasty beer a light drinkable feel. I am very impressed with this beer..it is indeed a summer stout..complex yet drinkable. I think I m falling in love with this small brewery..they make good beers at good prices..and not the usual Oregon hopped out IPA. Keep doing what you are doing guys!

750 ml bottle from Lifesource in Salem OR $6.99. Note says Organic Oatmeal Amber ,Batch #1, and its 5.8% abv and 35 IBU. Fine looking beer..deep amber body with a gorgeous thick, luxuriant light tan head. Aromas of thick caramel and toffee malts with a refreshing pine like hop. Taste the same as the aroma..very rich..like drinking caramel covered in dark chocolate with mint aspects. Palate is fine..medium carbonation in a medium to heavy body from the oats, plus a pleasing bitter aftertaste. A very nice amber..had two beers from this brewery and liked them both. A good sign.

Plough Monday Organic India Pale Ale
Draft at Uber, Seattle. Batch #2 (originally brewed as a one-off, the brewer told me that they happened in to more of the hops so brewed it again). Clean, cool gold, white creamy head. Malty, wheaty amber aroma. Grassy hops. Quite balanced and tasty. Robust backbone. Round, earthy, tropical hops. Interesting, and unique profile. Pretty delicious.

Plough Monday Organic India Pale Ale
750 ml bottle purchased from Lifesource natural grocers in Salem OR $6.99 Pours an ever so slightly hazy golden colour..with a nice sized bubbly white head..leaves great lace Very fresh sharp hoppy aromas, mainly floral with a touch of grass..small bit of lemon peel..very nice really. Taste is hoppy fizzy but well balanced..maybe too balanced for a typical American IPA..by the biscuity malts. This is nice though and what used to be called English IPA back in the day. Mouth feel excellent and very smooth..small carbonation bubbles caress the tongue. THis is a nice bottle conditioned ? ale..if your looking for a hop bomb..this is not it..but a mild hop kick and great palate..this is your beer.

Beautiful chestnut brown with a thick and creamy head. The nose has a hearty caramel aroma with a bit of grassy hop. In the mouth it’s thick with a rich flavor of burnt caramel, straw, white pepper and a strong herbal bitterness. It’s quite a complex beer that drinks very well.

On tap at Uber. Hazy orange. Smells like a bowl of cereal. A sticky bowl of cereal. Oats come through a little more in the flavor. Dries out toward the end. Residual sugar... wort-like flavor. Maybe not fully attenuated? Not bad. But needs a bit of work.

Draft at Uber in Seattle. Different name and abv from the ’original’ Oatmeal Amber. Clear, coppery brown, small gray foam. Big butterscotch aroma. Cleaner hoppy body more than aroma would suggest. Clean finish. Much better than I would have guessed for this.

Plough Monday Bitter Pale Ale
On tap @ Uber for their debut. Pours bright orange copper with medium white head. Aroma is sweet oaky caramel malt with just a hint of hops on the back. Taste is dry sweet semi-dark roasty oaky malt and sharply bitter hops on the finish. Light notes of dark citrus, pine, and coriander. Malt is solid here, hops need a bit more positive flavor though. Still, solid effort here.

Sampled at Seattle International Beer Fest 2014 (delayed rate). One of the more refreshing double IPAs I’ve ever had. Very crisply and sharply bitter, without a whole lot of malt backing it up. This is a true Northwest DIPA if I’ve ever had one. Really good stuff.
